Looks BAD. ....

Ducati shouldn't have gotten rid of the 1098 SF IMO. This looks like it will be a hella fun bike. Enjoy in the future!

Not my style, but looks like a nice competitor to the Aprilia Tuono.

I was looking at this as well. I am very disapointed with the reliabiliy of my 1199 S.
Anyway, I took the new 1190 R Superbike out for a test drive on Saturday and was shocked at how fluffy the throtle felt and how down it was on torque and power compared to the 1199. You twist the throtle and not much happens (in comparison to the Panigale). Maybe next year's version of the engine (reworked with an additional 100 cc) will have more torue. I hope so; I would really like to replace my Panigale with one of these.

+1 - I've never been a fan of KTM's styling on their street bikes. Just a bit too loud and angular for me. It looks like a very fun bike to ride though. If Ducati hadn't discontinued the 1098 SF I would have bought another one and would never have picked up the Pani. Mine is in jeopardy of ending up in the classifieds as soon as someone produces another liter naked that I like as well as I did my 1098 SF.

So Tuono Z1000 or Speed Triple don't do it for you???

I don't like the looks of the Tuono, but that's just me. My neighbor has a Speed Triple and I do like that bike, but not as much as the Pani and certainly not as much as the SF.

Here are a couple of pics the day I got her before I started modding. :(

Funny thing personal taste...The SF has never done anything for me... Ridden it and it was Meh....nekkid bikes are just not my bag I guess......

Due Feb next year . Will be a softer version of this but a fun bike I think .

Softer version??! I hope not! I've pretty much already decided this will be my next bike for the street when I make the Pani track only. I've read pretty much every article available, and rumor is that there is a good chance it'll be making 180-200hp when it hits the showroom.

I WANT IT!!!

That's ok, we all have different tastes. Sport bikes are not really my thing I am finding out. Not so good for street. :) I could probably go for the KTM if I changed the wheels or painted them. I think I just don't like the two tone wheels with the big "RACING" logo.

I disagree about sportbikes not being good for the street. I had a 2008 GSXR1000 that I think had 175hp and was more than I can handle but was very pleasant to ride, not jerky and didn't get hot putzing around town.

I would argue that most jap sportbikes are absolutely fine for the street. Sportbike-wise, all I've ever had are jap bikes and Ducati so that's where I'm coming from.

Yep, we're different. I avoided "sportbike guys" for years because they annoy me with the phony tough guy mentality, mohawk on the helmet, constant revving and wheelies, tribal paint jobs, extended swingarms, etc. This isn't that far off for me. Kinda like scallops and hydraulics on a Ferrari. :)

Haha...no Mohawk here...
