.... I think that was the point. ;)

Mark, hasn't your bike been listed for months?

it has been but i had it high cause of all the work in it. i had to lower the listing but id rather keep it than sell it for less than 19k eventually selling price will bottom.

funny i see 2012 tri listed for 27k no miles i call and they are like yup i say good luck with that sale

im not going to sell mine to a dealer for 13 so they turn around and sell it for 18. i believe thats what i heard an offer was for somebody else. I'm not going to strip it and put it back to stock. guess it will go on the track after all

I don't even think you'd get 13k for yours unfortunately. They offered me 13,5k for my 2014 with 600 miles on it and a set of Termi's

I laugh at anybody who trades in their Ducati. Unless you are REAL RICH (Million$$ + salary) I don't get why anyone takes such a massive hit by trading a Ducati in.

August 2012 I paid $23000 for MTS 1200. November 2012 Dealer offers me $12000 trade in so they can turn it around for $19000. December 2012 I sell privately for $16000. Still a crazy hit, but not an $11000 hit!

Yeah its nuts! I knew they would try to knock my head off but figured i'd see what they offered just for ..... and giggles. Ended up selling on Craigslist for almost asking price. Just required a little patience

Trade-ins are always a joke...Just not very funny ones.

Definitely better off selling if at all possible in almost every case.

Sorry Mark, I am thrilled Ducati came out with the 1299. I want my new marq to keep improving and maintain being the best! I didn't cry when the new 911's, land Rovers or Jeeps came out (or Mooney's for that matter). If I wanted the new options, I upgraded. Simple. All good!!!

I say to the track with it! Why not get all you can out of it since resale is dropping fast...

LOL! not sure if troll or you seriously think this?

How often do Ducati release refreshes like this?
It did come very quickly and the engine/electronic upgrades are big upgrades.

I only feel like the 1199R is the model that suffers. The new 1299S is the same weight practically, should be faster and have more torque, looks better (except the front of the bike, my opinion), the electronic upgrades are substantial (and the type that will get use) and it's cheaper.

Only reason I'm not putting a deposit down today for one is the wait...

1299R doesn't seem to have as many changes compared to the other models and the only reason it has less curb weight is they have taken things from it pretty much and just given it the lighter exhaust system everyone wanted. Great if you're racing it which a lot of guys do but we all know how many don't.

1299S will be the bike to have for the majority of riders/track day enthusiasts instead of the 1299R it seems which will be an odd thing. Unless you're hell bent on wanting a bike similar to a 1199 Superleggera.

Now I've just got to talk myself out of a 1299S and onto a 1199R so I don't miss a whole summer of riding waiting for one and don't have to sell all these parts sitting next to me. Derp.

ok so when the 2015 s1000rr came out people were wow the hp4 people will be pissed. i was like no because thats the bike i wanted in the color scheme i wanted with all the goodies i wanted. not only that nobody knows how much the 2015 s1000rr will be. bottom line you cant get the hp4 anymore.

now this

New 2015 Ducati 1299 Panigale Is A 205-HP Supercomputer

so 2014 r owners have to be really pissed, i mean the bike is the same exact thing. 2014 base and s owners have to be pissed.

so now that ducati just crushed 1199 resale value and the sl is now basically a paint job. hmmmmm

cant wait to see the responses to this ;)

Still haven't fcuked that bmw? It playing hard to get?

Everyone keeps saying "1299R" when in fact it is still a 1199R. Here are the specs, read carefully the difference in engine specs on the R and other models.

I'm quite disappointed with new panigale. Its like ducati trying to sell new Iphone 6 to 5s owner when in fact there isnt much difference between the two except for screen size and process.
i was hoping Ducati will make a revised dash for better durability against moisture. Add anti wheelie and launch control. Revised internal bits without adding extra cc to fix mid range issue and add extra horsepower. Increase fuel capacity. The new quickshifter is a welcome,i dont need an active suspension electronic but lighter ohlins will be nice.

watch the video of the release and then read again what you posted ;)

to sum it up:
-yamaha brought out a heavy, ugly turd
-kawasaki did the same, with a false promise of 300 HP for the masses, the regular turd will only have as much as the competition
-honda brought a production racer for over 100 grand and are ashamed to give out wieight and performance data
-bmw is now the cheapest of the 200 HP club, but not the prettiest
-panigale is still the prettiest, lightest and up in the HP club, on par with electronics and the advantage of >2 years of experience in the field now, so BMW is losing that advantage

great times if you're in the market and if you have taste :D

Come on, is not that bad
I mean, it's clearly not a Pani, but it's not even a Kawasaki!

ok. but compared to the last R1s, which IMHO nailed it design wise, this is kind of a "futuristic" design approach... not my cup of tea... and not out to win a red dot design award
