Low end grunt yes, but I believe the primary motivation for the higher cc is horsepower. Horsepower sells bikes. How can one not want to buy the bike with journalists saying it us the fastest bike tested yada yada.....
I mean I want one....damn magazines empty my wallet lol
No, it isnt. Its in exactly the same class as all the other superbikes when you look at weight, handling, power, ergonomics, intended use, etc. The extra displacement gives it more torque for a better street experience. There's nothing stopping the other manufacturers from doing the same. They chose not to. Their loss. Comparing the v4 panigale to h2 or busa class bikes makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
H2 !!! Omg why would anyone bring that up unless they wanted to go drag racing.
Well at least it looks better than that Suzuki Camelbusa!!
And one more thing, be honest, how many of you that ride 1000 haven't wished for more bottom and mid end ?
H2 !!! Omg why would anyone bring that up unless they wanted to go drag racing.

You don't need an extra 100cc for more street torque. You have to sacrifice done top end power. Ducati wanted it all, so they cheated. It's okay, it's s street bike.
Other manufacturers don't do it because it cost money to develop two engines, and it's not worth it. Ducati's answer to this additional cost in development is to raise the price, figuring their fans boys would pay, because it has the most power.
Can't wait to see if this strategy works.
What's that old saying........."there's no replacement for displacement "
I like what Ducati did.
Dunno why they didn't go to 1200cc straight away? They will probably do that in a year or 2
1100cc V4 188 BHP vs 1000cc V4 180 BHP.
So much for the HP hype.
