You know what I mean if youve ever played any kind of sport with a ref. Regardless, if the MotoGP stewards can alter penalties because of unknown reasons (political pressure, incompetence?) and there is an appeal process then why wouldn't Honda use it?

I don't blame Honda at all. They're are just playing the game. The .... move was on the part of Marquez. I don't fault the entire team for that.

I blame the team because they are giving him a substandard bike. The mistake he made was because he was over riding it, the difference between making it or not is razor thin, it could've gone either way.

I have to agree but I don't give him a pass. Dive bombing people on turns because your bike sucks, eh.

I don't blame the team because I doubt the development money was there from Honda. You could swap out Honda for Yamaha in that same sentence.

🤣
COME ON! hahaah a The razor difference was he pinned the gas until he was up 88's ass with his own feet pointed at noon. 😂
There are a row of worse bikes finishing. That was clown riding. If it was once, ok, racing, happens. This is every other freaking race since 2015, he puts his front tire in someone's ass or more recently bins it in spectacular out of control fashion then dodges rebuke of any kind.

Thats one way of looking at it :) I see it differently of course. Nice work by Rins today and Pecco was phenomenal.

Ok WHO'S AT COTA? Someone is having fun in Texas right now. Where are the pics?
Somehow they are doing video differently this time. Lot's more aerial. That track looks phenomenally fun. I didn't realize it there were such big elevation changes throughout.

Pecco - He's earning the name, Cool Hand Luke. They way he dealt with Marquez Minor in Q2, then broke all records.
Wow. Pay-back is a bitch.
Puts one pant leg on at a time like everyone else, then wins races.

The Italians and the Spaniards, what a great job their various academies and competitions have done in producing GP riders. No USA'ans or Brits, no sign of any talent coming through either.

Rins was great to watch in the sprint, way different lines and patience to make them work.

All MotoGP riders are hugely skilled, and the differences in ability between them are small absolutely (and possibly larger relatively).

Having said that, I think Pecco is earning a reputation as a good rider, who gets very good results, riding the best (probably by a relatively wide margin) bike on the grid. I don’t think he’s as good as other riders who have to compensate for lesser bikes (like Rins and Fabio).

+1 I was saying the same thing while watching the race! Fabio - wow. He gets a lot of points getting a podium with what is prolly the slowest bike. Pecco is still a super young guy.
What was the deal with all the crashing? I saw a lot of dust flying up. Was there a big storm the night before + everyone got tire pressure wrong? That was so weird.

The problem is that the Michelin front is not as good as the rear and now they have to run it at sub optimal (im keeping that Rick) pressure due to the new enforcement regime. Bring back Bridgestone!

Agreed. I think I recall an analyst saying that because of the focus on rear grip on corner exit, the Michelin rear is now so good that it sometimes pushes the front on corner entry, and that’s causing more problems for some teams/riders than others.

One of the many problems with single manufacturer tire rules is they start sucking after a few years because they have a monopoly. Bridgestone did the same thing when they first got the monopoly contract. Tires were flying to bits during the race. It was so bad that's when they started covering the tires in Parc Firmé as protocol.
