Update:

Installed the BMC street filter as suggested by @NYCV4S , thank you!

A few things I'm noticing after flashing the bike with the Deussen Tune:
  • Still getting a dead spot in the throttle around 1-3k RPMs. The bike almost stalls unless I feather the clutch. (Deussen Engines told me that cannot be fixed remotely)
  • Almost impossible to find neutral - happened running the stock rearsets and continued after installing GIlles MUE2 rearsets. From 1st to N it always jumps to 2nd. I can get it from 2nd to N if I go really slow and light, but by the time I get into neutral, the light is green and I have to go lol. The bike still only has 550 miles on it so might need more time to break in the gearbox.
  • Other than that, the power feels phenomenal and the throttle is smooth and linear from 3k up through 8-10k (have not takin it higher due to break in period).
  • Exhaust fumes continue to smell much stronger than my ZX10R with full system also. I get home from a ride smelling like I was in a smoker...

for the almost stalls part...put the little level/pin on the clutch to the other side of the metal pin that sticks out...that way the clutch pull will never cause that contact to close...you cannot start in gear this way, but will prevent that stall/dying when pulling clutch coming to a stop... same issue as my 1199, 1299, and now my V4s.

Neutral is hard to find, be gentle is key.

good feedback on tune too! i will also be going that route once my warranty is up

You should have gone with brentuning. I also tried deussen and didn't have any changes compared to ducati akrapovic map and i had problems with the low rpms.

Are you referring to the cylinder deactivation that happens when you pull in the clutch all the way? Because in my case, it’s got nothing to do with the clutch. The engine boggs in any gear if the rev range is between 1-3k RPMs. Then as soon as it passes 2.8 - 3k, there is sudden power which can be a bit scary. I am getting used to it and controlling that part of the rev range with the clutch to avoid the jerkiness.

No. Not deactivation. I’m saying that clutch switch affects mapping and fueling and can make you stall when coming to a stop with the clutch pulled in.

While driving easily and second gear, so maybe 40 miles an hour reach around underneath and push that switch. You’ll see the effect that it has on mapping. It’s not good.

Oh wow I had no idea that also affected the fueling/mapping. I will definitely give it a try in the next few days.

Finally hit 600 miles today! What is your take on doing the service at Ducati vs myself or local skilled mechanic? Is there anything actually special about the first service besides oil change/checking bolts and fluids?

You’re always so responsive and helpful @SirJAG. Thank you Sir!

Nice 👍🏼 , for my Deussen tune i received, I never had that issue of bogging bewteen 1-3k . But the increase of power is definitely there. Every RPM. Did you try to set power mode to “full”?

I never pull my clutch lever all the way in unless I’m stopped at a red light and I typically don’t go into neutral when stopped in traffic. I got rear ended once at a red light and I’d rather be able to get moving quickly if needed. I usually just pull the lever with two fingers. If I’m going to be sitting for a bit I’ll pull it with four so the lever pulls to the bar. This depresses the clutch switch and the cylinder de-activation works.

I have but I usually pop into Race A mode while already moving and typically select street again before I stop so I never noticed if that makes a difference in the low range. I will make sure to also test that next time I go for a ride.
