Thx guys. These were stupid expensive. I was on the waitlist for the BST Rapid TEK wheels that look great but I didn’t like the kink in the spokes. I came across a new set of these OEM 1299 SL wheels from a dealer in Germany at a “good” price and said what the heck. If/when I ever sell the FE the stock wheels will go back on and I figure these SL wheels will be easy to sell at a “good” price so the overall cost of ownership relative to other carbon wheels won’t be that bad.
At least that’s what I’m telling myself. But then again when it comes to motos my logic has been known to be a bit flawed at times...
My local dealer even with a discount was quoting something like $9k including tax.
