Panigale V4 Swingarm Position

yeah....protect the rear brake master cylinder from your foot on the right,....and protect the swing arm from your boot and your boot from the swing arm on the left, we could call it a guard from the heel of your boot.. or a heel guard...they do serve a purpose ffs:rolleyes:

Not really sure they serve a purpose, I wear a size 12 shoe and they were just in the way for me, so I removed them altogether, and cut the attachment bracket for the heel guard off too on the right side.

I'd expect powder coating to be more durable. They likely need to hit the part with an etching primer before the powder coat.

The only issue seems to be on the weld bead, for whatever reasons the powder coat just didn’t bond as well to it, everywhere else it’s proven pretty durable.

I’d fix it but I’m probably in pretty rare company here in that I think a bit of track patina looks good on a bike or a car.

Anyone get to see the 23 R genuine parts listings yet?...;)

OK So the 23 V4R parts list around the swing arm and associated components show-
the rocker is the same part number as all 2020+
the tie rod bars are the same part number as the 2020+ bike, but a different number to the 22 base.

Thanks Rick, great video.
QQ - if using the original (2018 to 2021) side plates with the eccentric bolts, I guess you would need to drill and tap for the (6mm) locating bolt (which I think is only on the right side)?

The locating bolts are both sides.

The Spider plates, don't use the locating pins. So, presumably, not needed? I'd probably try without, but mark the bolt head and side plate, and monitor for movement?

pretty on point in regard to you take on the new V4R, very stable on the gas + brakes - def a little slower fast change of direction

You can sort that last bit by reducing the rotating masses and the bike’s gyroscopic forces, via lighter wheels and rotors, chain and sprockets…then you can have your cake and eat it to
