Love how you put my name down man. LOL. Not sure its gonna work out due to wedding in New England that weekend. Are you calling a few places to see if you can get a group rate on hotel rooms for us all? Doesnt hurt to ask right? Use AAA, military, AARP (lol) or any type of request to inquire ya know? Did those two places say if they would extend any discount on rooms to block off?

I went to the gap about 4 years ago and I had an absolute blast. My buddies and I made plans to make it an annual event.
However, the following year the police presence grew to be absurd . . . I gave up on the notion of returning and never looked back.
Have things changed? Hopefully this won't turn into a fishing expedition for the revenue collection team with the blue lights?

Yeah I was wondering about this myself. Easy pickens for them with the guys on bikes I bet! Hey is this Ali who got his bike from Duc Bond or someone else? If you are in DC area perhaps you would like to meet up with the rest of the crew when we do local meets? Send Capt CF a PM or me, and keep your eyes out for the thread on our DC, MD, VA meets.

I've been there for a week where I haven't seen a single officer, and then weeks where I've seen way to many.
Ride the Gap early in the morning, and late in the evening.
October is when the tourists come out to view the changing of the colors. There isn't a large enough group to reserve a set of rooms, and the reality is we are less than 2 months away.
Fontana likes 6 months notice at least typically.
Tomorrow I'm going to call the Two Wheel Inn, but I don't expect a group rate. It's too late in the game. Their rates are already cheap.

Then I've probably met you at some point in the past Been going to Calandro's events off/on for the past 15 years. And I'm planning on being at Murphy.
Also have made reservations at Two Wheel Inn (per Souls' post) for Oct 10-12th for this Dragon meet-up. Should be fun.

we usually have about 60 or so mostly duc riders. The admission fee pays for pizza friday, dinner sat. a door prize and usually an event t-shirt. Been going to these events for years.
