Bought my 22 for $34k otd (taxes, fees). New one in US starts at $33.8k or about $37.4k otd. These prices are creeping up to ludicrous.

I plotted out the ergos to compare the 22 PV4S, 25 PV4S, Honda Fireblade SP, and 24 WSBK. The V4 engine really mucks up the tank config. PV4 has such a bulbous tank even though it's smaller by a gallon to the WSBK tank. The 25 tank is slightly improved but nowhere near as compact as the Fireblade.
WSBK vs stock ergo.jpg

The 2025 Honda Fireblade SP is currently priced at $29k Will be heading down that direction when it gets released here.

You forgot the Aprilia's. I can't get how they can get their V4's look like 600's. Really compact. And a better shape to the rear of gas tank.

Most of the time I watch races I'm on a bike at the gym and reading captions on an iPhone isn't the best experience. The announcers they have seem to be tripping all over each other. It's not as smooth and fluid as the two dudes who normally narrate the MotoGP races.

Side note...I really think the commentary in WSBK could be improved to increase that viewership as well. I feel MotoGP and slightly lesser WSBK have the visual aspect sorted, but the audio experience is much better with MotoGP than WSBK.

Eurosport and TNT feeds are the way to go

The bike looks much better in the MotoGP liveries than in Ducati red.

The photos of this new Panigale don't do it for me. But it seems to look better in the videos... and from certain angles, the spacing and lines, aesthetically I keep seeing some design elements that remind me of the Desmosedici.

Reminds me of when the 999 was released, and nobody liked the way it looked in the magazines... and then I loved the 999 when I saw it in person. This new Panigale has a dual sided swingarm, and unless I'm mistaken, I think the 999 was the last Ducati superbike to have a double-sided swingarm.

What was old is now new again... around and around we go 😂

Guess the Hypure calipers weren’t up to the task when it comes to pro use... They put WSBK calipers and discs on for RoC

jeez this one looks ugly from every angle.
Smh they destroyed the bike to satisfy the 5% of people who ride it at the track.

I dont think they did it because of 5%

they did it because maintaining 2 swing arms is expensive.

no one is buying Superbike this days anyway, its expensive even for track usage

Not sure why they used the 916 as the design target since its claim to fame was the SSSA. They’ve should’ve gone w using the 999 as inspiration since it had the DSSA. Here’s what I came up with. Still looks a little clunky and disjointed. Ditching the dual intakes and replacing it by hiding it was a huge mistake and takes weight out of the front of the design. The shadow under wing also doesn’t help.
