Progress on UK track noise issues

There was an article some time ago that suggested testers on UK trackdays had been positioning the db meter incorrectly, hence the failed static test. I believe its been sorted now. Have been looking at a few trackdays in Europe and they had the same problem, again I'm told its been resolved. If in doubt contact the trackday organiser, they should be able to help.

Any reference to that article and how the correctly testing should be done?

Sorry I can't find any reference to it now. It was mentioned in several of the UK biking magazines towards the middle of last summer, the gist of it was that testers were positioning the meter in the wrong place hence the higher readings. Allegedly they've been educated and it shouldn't be a problem now - particularly as the bike comfortably passes the drive by which is the more important of the 2 tests. If you are concerned then I would email one of the track day organisers and ask (Focused Events run Panigale's I believe).

For those in the UK I'm told FE are running a Ducati only Chrono day at Donnington Park on 28th May, £175, 105db. Various Ducati personnel & WSB riders will be there, breakfast & lunch inc.
