Project 1408 - 1299 Superleggera - Official

I counted the perf holes and by my calculations, there appear to be 10% more than standard so this will give a weight savings and therefore is acceptable to have "Superleggera" stitched on the sides. Sad there was no mention of matching underwear...

This isnt a D-Air verison. Theres already too many people at the local cafe with air-bag suits. Ducati need to lift their game.

A tailor will travel to your home for a custom suit fitting? .......for the price that thing is gonna cost, he better!

I wonder how much less this bike could be if we didn't want the tailor to come all the way over. If anything I'd rather go over there and at least get a vacation experience for the money that we're paying for anyhow. If I get this bike, I will petition Ducati to let me come over instead of the tailor coming here. I can visit Italy, the factory, museum, etc. at no extra cost although the meals and gas will probably be on me.

You don't wear underwear under this suit, that would be KindaLeggera.

Honestly, if I see anyone actually wearing this suit I'll knock that Frappucino right outta their hand.

I'd rather be fitted for this suit. Much lighter.:D

I knew I was going to like this thing. Not even sure if they are sending any to Australia, but yes of course I would like one. Who wouldn't ?

So here is what I was thinking. I get my 1199 paint it in the same colours, put some carbon wrap on my helmet, get the local tailor to put some 1299 Superleggara badges on a set of Dainese leathers and head straight down to the bike cafe. Unless you are a real die hard Ducati fan you will not pick the difference, right?

Cannot wait to see the complete pics of this thing.

Some more pics

I wonder how different the engine will feel to the R / SL1 as that is stunning compared to the S which is no slouch itself.

I wonder with those two-ring pistons if dealers will be telling owners they need to pull the tank and clean the oil out of the airbox after every few track sessions/hard ride...as with the R....
