Good, good stuff right there Endo!

Thanks for the info too Wally, I'm sure your build would look aabsolutely phenomenal w those CFwheels on it bro!!
By the way, love to see where you're at now w all that? ;)

They advertised the superleggera at "205" horsepower. I've personally seen the physical title of several acquantainces superleggeras and they all read 193HP. The numbers you get from the factory are a scam.

Factories always quote crank hp. The dyno figures we see like your friends 193 hp is rear wheel hp/RWHP.

Excited to see if it will actually deliver 220hp. Would be awesome !

The 1199 SL was actually advertised at 200 + bhp. They didn't want to put a number to it!!

However, they have updated the official site with some engine details. It will produce 215 bhp in standard form meeting euro 4 compliance standards. Basically the same titanium exhaust you get on the R. A 'race' kit comes shipped with it, the WSBK exhaust. This will put power up to 220 bhp.

But I agree, this is like lab/bench testing figures I imagine.

Two segment, two ringed pistons.
Titanium valves.
Titanium con rods.
Lightened balanced crank with tungsten inserts
New heads.
New engine casings

5 BHP doesn't sound like much but if the R is anything to go by it will be a massive mid range boost. My mate gains a good 100m or more down the straights on me on his R with Akro cans vs my stock cans.

Bike won't be complete without matching leathers.....

nIR0B2u.jpg

I counted the perf holes and by my calculations, there appear to be 10% more than standard so this will give a weight savings and therefore is acceptable to have "Superleggera" stitched on the sides. Sad there was no mention of matching underwear...

...they have the matching under suit...and..."you're gonna like the way you look"
