ROSSI to leave MOTO GP after 2012

Aw well then, whats Stoners excuse...hes only won 2 world championships!!!

Doesnt really matter how many WT......He doesnt need any more because he has already done the greatest thing I have ever been privlaged to witness and that is jump off a bike that he put on pole and 2nd in the race and then give it to a 9 times World Champion who could only get it to 15th in testing...to me and a lot of others that was worth a 100 championships.:D

So what was Rossi's excuse ??

I think anyone who knocks what Rossi has achieved throughout his career is a little deluded, i would much prefer to watch back any his races when he was on form than any of the rest of the riders races....Stoner included!!

I'm curious to know how from a few comments on here you seem to know about my dedication to the sport and love of bikes??

And I doubt you will have "more Rossi stuff" than I have undies......funnily enough I have a good few pairs of your wife's!!! a tad pongy aswell!!

Really my wifes undies.....Well considering it is to hot and humid here to wear undies, I can only assume you got them off my dog as I put them on her when she is in season to stop rampant males from getting her pregnant......guess I didnt allow for a ranting Rossi fan to take advantage of her........damn you learn something new every day:D

Oh by the way I would get some glasses if I was you and didnt you think she was a bit hairy ???

Stoner spent 4 years on the ducati.
how many title would have won rossi if he spent the same time at ducati?
would he still be the "great champion" the "doctor"?
i guess not.

The more I see Rossi racing cars the more I think Ducati should fire Rossi immediately. It is one thing to be finishing on the podium and doing car racing on the side, it is something far worse to be finishing out of the top ten.

Come on Rossi, get serious or get out!

Chris

What planet are you on?? have you just come to earth and started watching Moto GP, Rossi "is" the most successful rider in moto gp.....and until someone comes along to top that he will continue to be.

Imagine if Rossi hadnt stopped Stoner from going to Yamaha.....he might have been on the Ducati sooner.
I guess he knew how good Stoner was.

@Seanyboy2
you didn't answer my question.
and...just for the record, i'm watching MotoGP, before you even know what a motorcicle is....

rossi was a god.....but now he is a disgrace.

And how come you know when i began watching moto gp, very stupid comment to make especially coming from someone who can't spell motorcycle!!!

Can i ask have you got several colours of football strips in your cupboard??

BRING BAYLISS BACK :D

He may not have the most wins but he is one heck of a guy who you could be proud to back.

Stoner and his lactose intolerence  - not
Pedrosa - not
Lorenzo - definitely not - he reminds me of Biaggi

Not a lot of guys to cheer for really - VR is one of those guys who was breaking all of the records and now that he not his following is quickly dwindling.

Struth there's a lot of tention in here... Thought it was a forum for discussion?

Yes agreed should have said will Rossi..... Probably a typo, but on to the real issue...

Now I admit I love watching Rossi, and let's show some respect, he has done more for the sport and moto GP than most of the other riders put together. Now I'm also not a Rossi or nothing fan either. This 1199 will be the first Ducati I have ever owned so you can't call me a Ductist bla bla bla, but you have to admit watching Rossi at the front battling with the likes of Stoner and Lorenzo etc was awesome to watch, and surely what racing is all about?!

Yes all you Ducati lovers, and I hope I am one soon (when the bloody thing turns up!) where hoping for plenty of wins with the perfect marriage of an Italian on a Ducati, but unfortunately this is one thing that Rossi is finding hard to ride, remember, yes Ducati have built it from ground up for him, but if you listen to a lot of reports he has still asked for things that Ducati haven't delivered, and yes Hayden is faster at the moment, but actually how much longer has Hayden been riding on the Ducati compared to Rossi? Lot longer and if you actually look at it Hayden seems to be benefiting slightly from some of the development that Rossi has done already.

Please also don't forget that Rossi has won Champships on other manufacturers, where were Yamaha when he arrived there from Honda? In fact where we're Honda when he arrived there to? He developed them into race winning bikes!

I've yet to see Lorenzo jump into a manufacturer and develope it from nothing into a championship winning bike, was already done for him from Rossi, the Honda was pretty much already a race winning before Stoner arrived at Honda.

Please don't get me wrong both Lorenzo and Stoner are amazing racers, full of just as much talent, and that is shown by the fact that Stoner actually did win a Championship on an older Ducati, which actually probably suited his riding style, which is more a ride it like you stole it!

Personally I think Rossi is probably at wits end and is thinking, what now and will probably end up moving to his own team when the time is right, he certainly isn't up for retirement yet! I think it is a shame he isn't at the front, as those battles use to be amazing to watch.... Will he move to 4 wheels? Probably not because he likes winning too much and if he goes there it would probably be worse than where he is right now!

Clearly not a match made in heaven, but I don't think Rossi will want to leave Ducati on this note... At least one win before he goes.

But more importantly.... Better start looking out for Crutchlow....! Watch this space at Silverstone! Enjoy

well done Seanyboy2....like the username says...you are a boy...grow up, please.
@mat1529: you are right rossi was one of the greatest, if not the greatest rider in motogp.
he is just too full of himsels , he said he can ride every machine with 2 wheels.
fact is he can not ride at all this bike.
all his titles he won on good bikes, with great teams an big budget.
a rider is as great as good the bike is.
look at the other riders:
stoner can easily win on the honda, he dominated last year like rossi did in his good days.
lorenzo ruled in 2010 on the same bike as rossi.
and now really what opponenet had rossi in his title winning years?
biaggi, gibernau, pedrosa? get real.....
in conclusion rossi won his titles with his big talent , but also with great bikes, great teams (allways factory support), a lot of money investment, and lack of real opponents .
so rossi is not a good.
he is human too, and has a big weakness...and we can all see it now.

At the end of the day you can go on about this all day and have different opinions but the records speak from themselves and the bottom line (for me anyway) is that each weekend you turn on the TV to sit down and watch motorbike racing we are all wanting to see the same thing, close fast exciting racing, opt which Rossi brought to Moto GP, the last few years have been precessions........and the few good races have usually involved Rossi scrapping with one of the other contenders, true, all good racers have there time, maybe Valentino's is up, time will tell but to dismiss what he has achieved for the sport shows a complete lack of respect for any of the top racers and what they are able to do on these machines.........and the yamaha was nbot a great machine when Rossi and Burgess went to that team, so I'm sure that proves they have at least a little bit skill......some people have unbelievably short memories......i can almost remember Stoner crashing a fair amount of Givi honda's!!!!

ok they have a little bit skill...but where is this skill now?
stoner with givi honda in 2006....what was he 19 years old or so?

I can also remember Rossi crashing a lot as well and if you have his video he admits it himself......As far as i am concerned they are all great.

And speaking of great......here is some great Ducati riders and a few others:D
