So...I purchased a race prepped Ferrari 458...but...

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I think it is very comfortable.
I do agree that it was released (in 2012) before it was ready for market.

I think its just fine as well...but that's not why I bought it. comfort was hardly a factor...

but Mark, he was using a race/track spec Ferrari as an example not a "standard" Ferrari off the showroom floor. I think his point that if you buy a nascar, don't expect to have the luxuries of a range rover. if you buy an f250 on 40's, don't expect the ride of a Cadillac. just like someone who bought the 1199 owner shouldn't expect the comfort of a Goldwing.

THANK YOU! My point EXACTLY!

This post sums up everything about people knocking on the Pani and it's ride and how uncomfortable it is.

Haha, totally awesome satire lol! Spot on!

I can't stand the few poser cocks that barely ride and do nothing but ...... "PLEASE go buy something else then and shut your cum hole!" is what I feel like responding with in every thread lol.

This thread is for 1199 owners:D

So I've owned and raced a few factory race cars and bought quite a few bikes in my day...

Certainly, there are issues with every brand; but this is considered a super bike and with it come super PIA Issues at times.

My favorite "issue" is the comfort seat issue....did you really buy this bike for comfort....really??

Here's my position...if your ... is sitting on a seat so long that comfort is an issue for you, then you need to buy another bike...when I get off after a tank full sprint on my R; my legs are swollen from doing a constant 100+ mile left to right squat and I'm smiling from the feel of the lactic acid burning in them knowing I ....... thrashed and ..... yet another stretch of highway and curves.

If a few bolts fell off during that orgasm; then so be it !!!

Kanaka........I loved my Panigale S!
Totally agreed with this post, it's a race bike, period !
It's already much advance n rider friendly when compared to my previous 1098s !
I mainly use my Panigale for track duty now.
I bought a hyper 821 for all other road riding needs.
I have had a few monsters before the hyper 821.
Owner just need to accept that it's a Hot Italian model.......moody from time to time !
For sport cars, I finally settled on Lotus, after my race prepped Exige, I got a road version 2 Eleven !
So yes , I do love hard seats, no air con.......raw yet direct Hard Core Fun when it comes to Motorsport !!!
Race Spec cars / Bikes all have their issues on street or track, just swallow it n have great Fun with it !!!
When I wanna be a ....., I get in my Golf.......kakaka !

How about instead of complaining and spending cash on mods to make the bike 'ride better' spend the cash on going to a track school and learn to f*cking ride the thing?!?!

Alternatively p*ss of and get a moped!

:DBwa haha!:D

Ferrari reliability. Hahahahaha!

-Shift to 3rd and watch the transmission explode. I'm still pulling slivers of metal out of my shin.
-Tail lights that allways function fine, unlesss the Highway Patrol is directly behind.
-launch control? How about calling it what it is, "stall the engine in front of an audience control" then blue screen and crash the ECM and spend 30min trying to get your Ferrari started while a Fox body deos donuts around you just for fun.

Ferrari never made a car better than a Ducati until Enzo's stupid arse died.
(458 Italia rules) Enzo only sold street cars to fund his racing team. He never cared about quality control.

The car named the "Enzo" is the perfect example. A car you can drive only on tracks they deliver it to. You don't get to take it home. That's Enzo. Haha. And if you have any kind of snarky opinion, you don't get to buy one. His own company hated him so much that the car they create to honor him has the same corny stigma as him. Ferrari has there oddities as well. Bigger and weirder than Ducati for sure.

hi bully , you mean the Enzo FWXXXXKRXXXXZXX ? lol !

Ferrari issues? no... just pricey..... once a buddie's wife got out of a 360 , took her purse, purse snapped the tiny tiny gear lever off ... 3grand of brushed alu gone...

another friend takes Aston to garage.. must change his brake discs.... a mechanic he knows says they're the same as the jags XKR.... cost 35% of the AM ones... :)

Ducati is cheeeap...

what i like about bikes : although i have spent some money on bikes (apart from 2 jerks) i ve never felt ripped of... i know i wil do so in any posh car garage i step a foot through the door...

It might have been the Enzo 487 xxz456gt xr4r.

At least the 457 Italia has a name I can remember. They should start naming all of their rides like Ducati has. I'd start with "Bob".

A friend of mine asks why he sees tons of Posche 911's all the time and no Vipers and Ferrari's? When those are about as popular. "Because Porche 911's are actually driveable, AND reliable."

So...If am reading this thread correctly...When I buy an 1199 and ride it on the street..and expect everything to work..things not to leak/fall off or fail in any other way I am misunderstanding things???

I got it , so when my dash goes dead or my turn signal stop working and my fork blow up or my faring melt is because this is a race bike. Also the fuel map is so bad that I need a bigger sproket is because I dont know how to ride a race bike. as far I remenber the panigale is a street bike just like the CBR, MV,RSV4.Can you take it to the track? yes you can, but the panigale is not a race bike. just the same way you take any other street bike to the track. if you want a race bike get the RS .
