So...I purchased a race prepped Ferrari 458...but...

I got it , so when my dash goes dead or my turn signal stop working and my fork blow up or my faring melt is because this is a race bike. Also the fuel map is so bad that I need a bigger sproket is because I dont know how to ride a race bike. as far I remenber the panigale is a street bike just like the CBR, MV,RSV4.Can you take it to the track? yes you can, but the panigale is not a race bike. just the same way you take any other street bike to the track. if you want a race bike get the RS .

Like CBR's and ZX10's don't also have 5 possible problems when they come out with a completely new machine.

My 2012 Suzuki DRZ400S has/had:
-a stator that needs some rewiring.
-Shift lever that can punch through the engine case
-primary gear that can fall off and totally grenade the the transmission
-jets and stuff
-stalling weirdo carb
-ignition cuts out every time you hit a bump (side stand switch)
-terrible levers. Can't clutch without cutting my ring and pinky fingers off.
-wrong tires
-tiny skid plate

If a Pani S isn't better suited for track days than a soft sprung/damped GSXR1000 I'll eat my stock seatcover.

Over the past year and 7200 ridden miles since new, I haven't had any of the problems that some have posted about. My guess is that once the improved map was loaded and the heat shield was installed on each stock bike, most of the complaints should have stopped. If your seat bothers you, ride more often but do shorter stints until you build up some saddle sores!

yes your panigale S is problable better for the track, but the panigale is still a street bike just like honda cbr.

every bike got some type of problems we all know that. but telling somebody that the seat of the panigale is ok just because is a race bike is just not right (even race bikes use foam seat) not that crap we call seat on the panigale more slipperry than anal lube :D

Anal lube....oh dear.....

lawful but not compulsory:p

Here's the deal: Don't like the bike? Get something else!

I like mine....not perfect but Mr Ohlins helped me getting there.

Oh, almost forgot, I've seen beautiful women stumble over a 50k$ Harley to drool over my Base.

Oh, and another thing: A GTR will blow a Ferrari out of the water for less money but it will always be a Datsun with a name change.

Just to jump in here, a 458 is not a race car if we agree that the definition of a race car is a formula 1 machine. A 458 is probably 60% of a formula 1 machine whereas a panigale is probably 90% of a WSB bike. And an R or SL even closer. It's virtually a race bike. So focuses it's not going to be comfortable on the street. My bike is like riding a pissed off bull in regular city traffic but once I get to a country winding road it's transformed.....even comfortable despite being pushed hard.
