Hater. 12 was a low estimate. I'm expecting 15 or so.

lol.. I didn't mean to throw you under the bus, but saying the other dude spending like $3k to trade up to a new bike with new warranty and zero on the clock compared to your list was, uh, ridiculous. :)

Just sayin! :)

recommendation

A new light perforated leather Jacket to ride all winter long :D

Thought I'd pass this on as a suggestion for ya Scrap. I've owned, sold, and referred the fantastic RS Taichi GMX Motion jacket (perforated w liner) as one of the very best jackets out there! For me its been the best fitting, best summer jacket w unreal ventilation, and protective leather item without spending crazy amounts of money. If you have a chance to try it on somewhere please do, or PM me for a few locations to get one w discount of course!

I dont know Gunny the GMX motion might be a little to warm for SoCAl winter riding ;) Just Kidding. The GMX motion has been on top of my list but I can't find a store around here to touch and feel. I just orderd the Dainese Super Speed Leather perforated.

Don't think so. 18k km so far and at this rate I got the big service coming up next summer which will be 2,5k $

I'm looking at something between 5 or 6k $ out of pocket for a new bike with factory warranty and odometer at 0.

Most of my bling will stay with me (TTX, rearsets, carbon and mirrors) so if I discount the tune-up I'm paying no more than 3 grand for a new bike.

Okay, so in the end you're wasting $3,000 for a bike that will again need that $2,000 service before you know it. No matter what way you cut it, its a waste of money if you are going from bike to exact same bike- base to base, s to s, etc etc. Now, if you're going base to S, or S to tri for other reasons then that makes sense. Trying to sell this bike coming up to the 15,000 mile service you will not get anywhere near what you think you will. You plan on trading in? Then you'll be raped on the trade in... Plan on personal sale and then buying the other bike new at a dealer? Because theres another $2,000 in sales tax. Your "$3,000 out of pocket" estimate just turned into at least $6,000.

Just saying man ;-) Either way, enjoy your 1199 ('s)
Then again, I shouldn't be speaking. My S was fine but I went ahead and sprung for the R as well.
Really, look at resale. I'm getting offers for $16,000 for my 2013 S ABS with $4,000 of .... on it. I think you're being a bit liberal on resale/trade in value expectations... I'll light the sumbitch on fire and piss it out before I say goodbye to it for $16K..

Thinking about doing the comp werkes integrated tail light.
The rest of my money will go to improving my riding skills at near by tracks.
I need more improvements than my bike does :D
Luckily we can ride almost year around.

Have we found our new "Frosty"???;)

Oberon bar end turn signals and handle bar mirror are in the mail now, going to dremel some notches into the foot pegs, give it a good tear-down and cleaning, make a decision on a tail tidy, and save my pennies for some gold 10 spokes.

I'm going to be doing nothing, nada, zilch. The wife won't let the bike in the house so it goes in my shed on stands and trickle charged. Too cold to do anything out there so I'll be saving money for Carrozzeria silver wheels when spring comes.

Well its summer here.. But I ordered:

- DP rear sets
- DP Levers

Already have:
- Rizoma front axle slider
- Rizoma rear axle slider
- Rizoma next reservoirs: front brake, clutch & rear brake (not fitted yet)
- Ducabike reservoir caps (currently fitted)
- CNC upper clutch protector
- EVO Tech radiator guards (necessity not an upgrade)
- TPX V2 Radar detector

I know we have many Antipodean members on here so please forgive the title of this thread..But I have to believe that we are coming into prime modification times up north???

So..... Please share your plans for your Panigale....:)

All off the Mods so far.

The 12 base happens to be my 23rd bike, so been there and done that.
If I don't get my asking price I'll hang on to the old one. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.
