Where are you in TX since your 3 hrs away. Close to the border like I am or on the other side of San Anto. Meaninig on the other side of Austin.
The bike really depends on you, I mean it's only 3 or 4 things different from the Base besides the paint job, which you can do up your own paint job to personalize more as some do. I take it you plan on using one as a track bike since your getting to and yes the ABS is a good thing. HP is the same anyway so I wouldn't place a bet on the Tri 2012 not wanting that much.
Anyway, I know the guys that work there, John the Sales Manager, Nacho the Shop manager, Ben the tech along with Carlos the sales rep. But, it's a lil steep on the Tri.
Thanks. Jon sold me the bike.. one of the techs who worked on the bike mentioned, after I bought it, that it's got full termi, larger/derestricted intake, light flywheel and dyno tuned. Supposedly made 159 at the wheel on their conservative dyno. I think these things are around 365 lb dry stock and this one is lightened too. Not bad for a naked? Carlos at the dealer has a similarly tuned SFS and said the liter fully faired bikes don't catch him til well after 130 (aerodynamics are a bitch). Really not bad for a naked. Apparrently the 1098 comes pretty corked up from the factory for emissions and keep HP down. Kind of weird, but I had no idea how capable of a bike it was until after the purchase. I just loved how cool it looked and how much fun it was to ride. Happy so far. Will do first "real" ride tomorrow
