One my friend who got white 1199 came up with DIY solution for the heat/burn issues.

After installing the heat shields, he realised he was still getting burns on his inner thighs, so he put double layers of thermal barrier sheets you can find in building construction and wrapped it with carbons sheets. He said the problem is completely gone now even when he wears summer jeans.

I wonder if Ducati Italy will come up with a good looking adaptor / plate to attach on our bike...

That actually looks pretty good for a DIY. Don't know if this would be a problem fixer for sure but I'm sure it didn't cost him but a couple bucks to at least test it out. I'd go with it as a tester and would probably keep it on if it did the trick.

He used double sided 3M tape for installation and it has been staying there for 2 months now. I asked him to make extra one for myself.

Perhaps a cheaper solution is to let your friend know that the black triangular feature directly behind the gas tank is the seat. Not the piece that Ducati calls the rear hugger. He or she may also find that the gear shift lever and rear brake are more easily accessible. Also, the bike tracks better in corners. Just saying.. What heat? :D
