hey Mark go back are re-read my comments to u re: beemerz and now u can ... off all over again. LOL.

Its like going to a Ford Performance forum and typing "Anybody seen the performance stats of the ZO6, I had to go and buy one! Talk about beat the .... out of the GT500!"

Well WTF do you expect the response to be, and why are you there anyway.

NOLA.

I agree I too test rode that bike before. But I went for the pretty girl instead. The Germans make great cars and motorcycles. The Italians make beautiful cars and motorcycles.

If BMW ever get rid of the bog eyed headlight it might perk my interest. I think its a great looking bike until you look at it head on.......WHY the .... did they do that?

I never really thought of it that way. I knew the 2015 would basically be on par with the discontinued HP4. Though when i think about it, the HP4 is ready and finished as is. I wouldnt have to do any aftermarket upgrades (maybe the midpipe to remove cat). But that would be it. I dont know how dealers will be offering the 2015 model either. Can i build it to my own specs (akra exhaust, carbon fiber, tail tidy) or does the manufacturer just send a mix of bikes with different options on them? Furthermore pricing and ETA havent been released yet. I know its only a few months away but im impatient. Like i said, when i got off the s1000rr i just wanted to hop back on!

On a side note, i would venture to guess the hp4 will hold value better over time compared to a regular s1000rr because of the limited build, etc.

Hp4 is not rare! Over 6000 built! They are common! Don't be fooled.

I am done with the HP4.

Could you elaborate more on why you're over the HP4?

It's an awesome bike!! I had it. Did 23,000 km on it. Don't want to go back. Want to try something different. As of right now IMHO, it's the best bike out. No disrespect to the 1199, I love those also. But I haven't owned one.

Understood. I'm torn between the HP4 or waiting for the 2015 S1000rr. From what I've been reading, with all the bells & whistles included, the 2015 would be around the same price as a HP4 OTD

but the 2015 will have the superior engine, frame, etc. and not have the garish blue and white paint scheme....

I would go with the 2015 loaded. Waiting to find out pricing on upgrading to the forged wheels. Then the only difference to the HP4 is color and exhaust. Everything else will be better. Compared to the hp4 std you are looking at.

After seeing the HP4 in person, i liked the blue and white paint scheme. A difference of 6hp is minimal, and I was happy with the ergo's on the S1000rr. I guess I'm just rationalizing because I don't want to have to wait until 2015 for a new bike. Then again, we riders in NY will be calling it quits within the next few weeks. Decisions decisions

Your money. Your call. I would take the 2015

What prices are you getting for an HP4? Around here in Central Florida, 2 dealerships have 3 HP4s, 1 standard and 2 competition models and are asking $22,900 and $29,000, respectively. You can see why they're still on the floor and will probably have price drops very soon now that the cat is out of the bag.

Even with every option, I don't see a 2015 S1000RR breaking $20,000. Upgrading to forged aluminum wheels should be the same as now, as the wheels on the 2015 look exactly the same as the 2014-previous. I'd personally go with the Carrozzeria Tri-R forged wheels as the best value around $2100 for a set.

On the positive side for the HP4, should you ever fancy a Medusa moment on one of those dark, wet, winter NY nights ......then the garage will only be a few steps away :eek::eek::eek:

I'm getting $21,330 for a standard HP4. Both the trade-in value and retail are not budging amongst the 3 dealers I'm working with.

Just enjoy your 1199 and wait until all the 2015s are released. That's what I am doing, minus the 1199 to play with

Hey Bane, care to share your trade in offer? I looked into trading my 2012 RSV4 Factory, 2500 miles, still under warranty in for an HP4. Offered 7 or 7500.00 (can't remember). Silly .......s!
