Hi,

Just starting a topic about tuning your tuneboy ecu, as i know afew of members here use tuneboy.

Was thinking we could share tunes plus discuss tuning plus anything else related to tuneboy.

If anyone has a tune, and don't mind sharing could you please pm the tune and details (mods, fuel, country, bike model & year) and i will start a database and add a dropbox link where people can download the tunes.

Tuneboy Information: TuneBoy - Engine Management Systems

Software Download: TuneBoy - Engine Management Systems

Tuneboy Hardware:
Wireless + Cable Innovate WB-01

I will hopefully receiving my hardware in the next few weeks.

Has anyone played around the the DQS options? I would like to find out whether the system is ignition cut or fuel cut, and whether tuneboy allows you to change these options?

Also the standard DQS setting are little slow, and can be speeded up, i will upload my setting once i get the hardware

Tuneboy does allow you to modify the DQS settings.

I just received the Strain gauge Quickshifter which will allow chutchless downshifting by auto blipping throttle for you.

Some useful notes:
The Panigale maps that end with Stick1 are for standard exhaust.
Maps that end with Stick2 are for slip on.
Maps that end with Stick3 are for the full system.
Maps ending with Akrapovic are for the full Akrapovic system.

So for the auto tune functionality, do you need to purchase two Innovative LC-2 controller/O2 sensor packages off their website? Or does the Innovative LC-2 package listed at $229 cover all the equipment to do individual cylinder tuning?

Has anyone started with a base map then enabled auto tune to do the fine tuning? If so, how were the results?

no, you need the package x2

i realized that when i got the 1st package from tuneboy. duh. they could have told me.

i ended up getting another set off ebau for $50 cheaper and no shipping.

i have a set of headers here with welded prongs, which i still plan on putting on a dyno, whenever i find free time. which probably won't happen before november, i have tons going on.

but, it's all in my hands so to say. ;)

when i'm done and have established my maps, i can hand you over the WB-kit (and headers) if you want to get your own custom map.

Went and had Wayne Dyno my bike today. My bike is stock as a rock and there was no tuning done. Just a run to get the "before" reading. Next step is to fit my Akra system and go back and get Wayne to do a custom tune for my individual bike rather than just loading the Akra version map. Looking forward to the result. Still thinking about getting cruise control as well.

Wayne was very knowledgable and took the time to explain all about how his system works. I was very impressed.

ok so got my hardware! and had little play around:

1st things 1st reset service light

Now to have a play around with the maps, but before i do that i think i will need to get a charger as i don't like the chances of my battery staying charged while i play around with the maps

Kaido,
forgot to ask Wayne when speaking to him....does it with with an Apple Mac ?

Re Tuneboy w/ innovate auto tune, does the Innovate stay connected for continuous tune, or just for mapping only.

Does anyone have this box checked on there tune? "Kill Ignition on up-shifts" I am thinking this shall result it louder bangs on the quickshift :D

hmm just read the tuneboy pdf

"17.5 Kill Ignition on Up-Shift
If you have a tick in this option the ECU will kill ignition during the up-shift. This
will result in a ‘pop’ from the exhaust as any unburnt fuel will build up in the
exhaust pipe. Having a tick in this option should provide a better up-shift power
kill.
This may create a loud pop on up-shifts if you have a very open exhaust. You
can use this option at your discretion. The up-shift kill will still work if this option
is un-ticked.
This option does nothing on the Panigale; it is only for the Multistrada and Diavel."

So does the 1199 have ignition cut standard on the up-shifts?

Could someone pipe in re if the innovate autotune stays on bike for continuos closed loop.

Also where do you get a tach rpm signal to run bike on a dyno, my HD dealer had no idea

Take off either side fairing and the coils are at the front of the suitcase for the tach signal.

Kaido, which kit did you buy to have the ability to reset service light?

Thanks

i have the full tuneboy kit with cruise control. but i do believe even the base kit without the cruise control option can reset the service light.

Would be interested if anyone is willing to post up there A/F Maps and Fuel Maps

Ok so i have started to play around with my tune, Looks like you are fairly limited with what you can do with the tuneboy.

I am trying to play around with my tune on the over-run, by the looks of things the EBC means that ecu applies some throttle to keep the bike balance when off the throttle, which in terms affects the over-run mapping.

I am not sure if there is a way to tune the EBC other than the factory options 1,2,3 and OFF. so tomorrow i will take the bike for a ride and turn my EBC off as at the moment i have it set of the default setting of 1. and then see if the extra fuel i have added in my map 2 has the desired affect on the over-run.
