Ohhhhkay, so I did 3 trim files and cycled through them on the road. This was the best so far. I am at 0.9 on some lower rpm shift, so I'm gonna move into the BlipL settings. Dun....dun.....dun... See how that goes. I had a few mini-surges in 5th-4th and 4th-3rd downshifts at 6krpm, so gotta lower those numbers. All in all, I'm pretty pleased. No surging slowing down to stop lights anymore fasho! I'll post my Palomar Mtn ride later I shot today and there are a ton of downshifts and you can hear the blips and it all went well. I never use the clutch anymore lol! Even under VERY hard braking, the downshifts responded well. Glad I got the feel of charging hard then braking hard to clear all that up before my track day a week form today!

Sounds like you got a good result there Sergio, Thanks again for sharing your results , looking forward to the video

Just an update, I loaded 3 modified trims into the bike today, each with different blip H tables and all else identical. I changed blip between 2 &6.5 k lowering them by .5% in the 1st , 1% the second and 1.5% the third. Third was the best with still some minor surge so will do 3 more trims lowering those values again and see how that goes . Will update when done.

I have the vid, but I misaimed my GoPro and it's showing my shorted speedometer. It shows strange speeds at different times. Anyone know where I can blur out the speedo? I'll post it anyways in a couple of hours lol.

Btw, BlipH is as low I can go I think under 5krpm. So I think the tiny surge I have from 2nd-1st under 3krpm will need a little longer blip due to slower speed, thoughts?

I'm thinking of when I downshift my Chevelle SS. At slower, lower rpm shifts, it's more of a lazy, slow and long throttle blip. Think that transfers to this? It's raining today so I'll mess with it at the track on Friday haha. Curious to hear what you guys think?

The BlipL notes in the PDF say raising the millisecond number will act as though you raised the BlipH number, which is NOT what I would want correct?!? Or did I read it wrong again lol. TIA......

Nice work man! We should get a job at TB lmao.

Sergio I will have to go and read the PDF and get back to you on that.
Today I did some more testing of the setting I posted earlier at my first track day I have ever done , had an absolute ball , but definitely need to lower those low rpm Blips. Shifting up I was very happy with the settings , way better than the stock setup

Ok ladies and gents, here's my first ever video edited with iMovie on my MacBook lol. So you can hear downshifts and 98% of them were perfect. A few surging downshifts from 3rd and 2nd to 1st were cut out due to boringness of the clip haha. Thoughts?

Just tried to watch this video but doesn't work . Comes up as private video when I try to play it?

Seems to DS pretty smoothly. Does it have a slight burp when DS'ing?

Sounds like you have it working pretty well now Sergio , I have just been on a run with my 5th blip table loaded , best one yet, still adjusting down at the moment, have not got as low as your settings yet but I still have minor surge at low rpm shifts, so looks like I will get there

If by burp you mean backfire , then no there is no burp ! When the settings are right the downshifts are almost seamless, for that matter so are the upshifts, Criuse control is awesome as well!

Yea it's pretty close. I was really bummed I couldn't make my track day yesterday to try it at track speeds. I'll get there soon though.

I think I (we) may need to look at BlipL too. At slower speeds and lower rpms, I think the 2nd-1st shift needs a few more milliseconds for the ds. Thoughts? I still have a minor surge when slowing for a light sometimes at certain conditions where I'm slowing at a faster rate than usual and downshifting. That's where I think I can increase the BlipL number. My BlipH is already at .9 there haha. Thoughts? TIA :D

Sergio I have been thinking about attacking Blip L for a while now but have resisted because of what the manual says about Blip H being a physical (mechanical) action and therefore needing time to complete. Your setting and to a slightly lesser extent mine in BlipH are now so low at low RPM that I agree it may be time to look at Blip L .The manual says that shortening the time has the same effect as reducing the height so that's the way we need to head I think.
What I think is happening in the 2nd to 1st shift in the lower rpm range is generally you are braking hard, throttle shut , the BlipH takes the revs to match the lower gear , your braking action pulls them down again quickly, Blip L holds the revs at the BlipH point for an amount of time ,over riding the natural deceleration of the engine in that situation , therefore effectively accelerating the bike (surge).
That's my theory at this point, hope the above explanation is clear enough, I going to give it a try tody if I get the chance , will let you know what I find.

Just did 2hrs of testing with BlipL

WOW!!! So found out that the pdf is off (again). It says that the 1st gear bottom row in the BlipH trim table is for iPhone and Android apps (whatever that means). So I moved those to 0.0 because I thought they weren't relevant. WRONG! The shifter would not downshift at all under 3krpm (where I moved metrics to 0.0 - think they were at 25.0 originally). So after an hour or so trying to figure out wth happened to downshifts, I decided to go back to a prev trim table and voila, it worked again. So that 1st row in 1st gear DOES matter.

I lowered the numbers from 25 to 12.5 and cascaded them down form 3krpm and 4krpm. THEN, I did another trim table with those BlipH values + higher BlipL numbers. I concentrated from 4krpm and lower and from 3rd gear and down. I raised the numbers from 90 to between 110 and 125. And omg, she's shifting like a dream. Only went a few miles but did not have a single downshift surge or upshift issue.

Soooo, I forgot to take a pic of the tables but do not lower the BlipH 1st gear row to 0 haha and raise the lower rpm/gear combos in the BlipL table and you should be good. I'm going on a hard ride tomorrow morning with a fellow member Raul. I'll have some more feedback. #gonnasleepgoodtonight :D

Well there goes my theory then! Will have to try it for myself and see , still can't get my head around that though.

Lol well unless I'm crazy like last time and misread the gd pdf. I love how the shifter is working now. I'll know more after tomorrow's hard ride.
