Hi all ,
I dont know much about the mapping on the SF , can someone enlighten me to what map comes with the Akra ? and does it add back the gap downlow people are talking about ?

So I finally got out and rode my street fighter and holy crap it’s insane! Steve at Hudson Valley Motorcycles did an amazing job. I’m pretty sure it will blast past my V4S with full system. It’s absolutely transformed. If anyone is within a couple hundred miles of them it’s well worth the ride To have them tune yours. This thing is a monster For sure and I have a few crazy bikes so I know what fast is. But I will be honest if your not an above average rider you might not want them to tune it because it’s that’s impressive Or you could ride it on a lower out put settings I guess.

Did you happen to get out of him what he was using to access the ECU?

No I never asked him. But he also changed the velocity stacks to the same ones in the V4S and opened up the air box a little bit for an even larger gain. But like I said you have to be on your game while riding her now. As far as fuel mileage is concerned I don't ever look at that. I know its important to some but not for me its all about the experience for me not fuel savings.

It will be interesting to see some dyno charts on your bike.... Regards!

Hmm.

ETA: I thought the Panigale system used motors to change the height. After reviewing the manual this doesn't seem to be the case.

After working at trackdays for the better part of a decade, it always surprises me how many people consider themselves " above average". Not a knock on your skill by any means... more just an observation when some folks show up with hard-edged bikes and minimal skill, thinking they can ride them. I've scooped a lot of Italian hardware out of the runout. ;)

There's something undeniably visceral and rewarding about riding a bike that's always trying to kill you.

yeah I hear you for sure. I ride about 10 to 15,000 miles per your and about 2000 track miles per year. A lot of riders think they are Valentino Rossi until they actually get to the track and realize they’ve got a ways to go. I love track riding and to get a chance to talk to all sorts of different riders of different levels. Some of the bikes that show up make me smile. I’ve seen guys show up with a rig that’s nothing short of amazing and then they pull out a V4R and ride scary as hell. Lol

We had a dude show up with Ducati-branded everything, from his pit setup to his top-tier Dainese gear. Even had the branding on his trailer. Rolled a brand-new Desmosedici out of his trailer, and promptly turned C-Group lap times. Dude literally put his feet down in T4 at Pacific.

Money ≠ skill. :)

Don't know quite how to feel about that.. sadness for the bike? Was it quietly screaming as its tires' edges were left shiny and its tach never sniffed at redline? At least it is being ridden, though poorly, as most of those sweet Desmos are parked in collector's garages.

Oh for sure, that dude had maximum poser points for kitting himself out like that and riding so slowly. But you’re right... at least he was out there riding the thing!

If I’m being honest, however, I’m not sure I would want to pour the wood to an $80,000 bike. I’d probably duckwalk the bastard everywhere sinceI couldn’t afford to replace it!
