I find the factory seat to be way to cushy for the track and it not near flat enough.

I've been tracking my V2 since last fall and I've been patiently waiting for Race seats to release a seat for the V2. So they haven't release anything and I've tried to cross model fit 899,1199, and V4 seats and no luck.

Anyone have any luck finding an aftermarket race seat for the V2? I've heard mixed reviews on the Ducati performance "race seat" so not sold on that option. Curious to hear what you fellas have been using...

It is what I have mounted. So far happy with it.
It is hard, but not uncomfortable for couple of hours ride.
Also, the most important point, the front part is rised, so you don’t fall onto the tank, now you can properly position yourself on the bike

Thanks for the feedback. I’m taking your word for it and ordered one for the track day this weekend since there seems to be no other options. Cheers, Jake

Hoy did you feel it?
The front of the seat is much higher than the stock seat. So the Ducati race seat is much more level front to back instead of tilted toward the tank. I spent much less time having to scoot back around the track, especially under heavy braking. I saw some complaints on other threads about the seat material being too grippy. I found it to be just right.

My only complaint would be the seat has more cushion then I’d prefer. It may be 3x+ as padded as the race seat brand seats. Overall though, it’s nice upgrade over stock!BD82168F-92C5-4B2B-8F07-6BAD697C8093.jpeg

Exactly my impresions (except the cushioning, that I don’t really care that much..)
But not having to be repositioning yourself because u are sliding onto the tank.. the best improvement for me

a big problem with the pani seats is that you do slide forward, extended tank covers work but each to their own.

To be honest I thought you were trolling. I thought you were talking about tank pads being so effective on preventing sliding that you don’t replace the seat lol. I didn’t realize you meant an actual “tank cover”.

Your teaching me something. I’ve seen these “extended tank covers” for sale on some of the websites and also “tank extenders”. I’m not familiar with them. Is the idea to essentially move back the furthest point you can sit forward on the seat? If on a 1-10 scale, 1 is the furthest forward position and 10 is the furthest rear on the stock seat, where would your furthest forward position be with an extended tank cover?

What they do is lock you in fore and aft and are usually a bit wider so you can grip them better, you dont really need the full cover but they offer some tank protection and look good. Have a search for tank extender and youll find a few threads on it, some are better than others but all do the same job. You have to modify the stock seat. Solves the sliding problem

I love their seats but didn’t see one for the V2! Did you get one for the V2?

I bought one of these, but will not fit with the raceseat installed, quite hard to use but trying to work on installing it again now

I’ve been waiting since I bought the V2 last fall for these guys to release a V2 seat and sure enough days after I buy the Ducati race seat I find out they finally have a V2 seat. Damnt man.

Is the raceseat.it seat level from the front to back or does it decline towards the tank like the OEM seat? I like how little padding are generally in their seats but on the V2 I wonder if that little padding would make the seat be tilted forward? Like does the front of the seat need to be built up to keep the seat level like on the Ducati race seat.

@Paul G thanks for passing along the info on the tank cover man!
