It's a massive difference from the stock unit, especially in the rear. Bike feels much more planted. I did the rear TTX swap on my 899 with similar results. Riding casually I'd say it's not that noticeable but pushing it, it feels like a different bike. I've also had the suspension set up by the same guy for all my bikes both stock and modified so it's not just a "you just got it set up better" situation.Hi
Great mods
What improvement do you feel from the stock suspension to the Ohlins?
Thanks, this seems a good route to follow
I'd say the adaptive suspension vs manual adjust higher quality Ohlins is more of a personal situation than one really being "better" than the other. I got to spin some laps on an S and it's definitely cool, but I'd say at *my* intermediate skill level, it's something I'd benefit from way more on varying surfaces. The roads are pretty good here and I'm not at a level of skill where I was able to gain any lap time with the adaptive suspension so manual it is for me.
I'm sure people's mileage varies a ton with this though depending on what type of riding they do and how hard they're pushing the bike.
P.S. Also, regarding the guy going on about what's the best value... Lol. If anyone here was really after value they'd be riding a totally different brand. I purchased my bike because it excited me and I have the most fun on it compared to other current offerings, not because I'm trying to build the world's top value race bike. Penny pinching and Ducatis shouldn't even be in the same sentence.
