V4/V4S ABS Delete Options?

The ABS pump on ALL OF THE V4s is directly tied to the TC architecture. It has to be for cornering ABS to work. Give it a rest already. The pump isn’t going anywhere. This was a dead topic in 2019 and we’re still talking about it. Motec, MM or a stand alone open architecture ECU with a custom harness if you want the pump gone.

please see the argument re 2023 updates and lack of riding ability of the majority of owners to answer the why bother removing it.....oh and the fact that its connected in to so many other things its not possible...

I’m pretty sure it’s been like that since the 1299 , so even longer

but the fact we are missing here is the std system is actually quite good........there ive said it!

For the skilled racer, sure no abs but the tech has come a long way since its inception and its not intrusive (unlike the jappers) for road I think you'd be mad to delete it. The reason is mainly panic stopping, now on a track you are much more in control, braking markers etc but I challenge even the most experience motorcyclists among us to out brake ABS in a panic mode situation or on mixed surfaces or both on the street.

At the EU bike show, they had several bikes with ABS. Bicycles are much more advanced than motorcycles at this stage. Everything is advanced matrix composites, Ti etc. Wireless Electronic Shifting and data acquisition are the norm. Motorcycle tech is a snooze fest compared to the advancement in cycling tech.

For some it’s amazing, for others as is evident by just as many companies building simplistic beach cruisers it’s all too much but at least you have a choice. It is common place for people to build their bicycles from a huge variety of vendors making insane components. This gives people a huge variety of options to build exactly what the want. This is basically unheard of in the motorcycle industry. You want a Ducati, you’re going to get what they offer and as Paul stated, the platform is really good but you need to take all of it. Unfortunately unlike cycling, there isn’t a buffet offering unless your bucks up, starting from parts.
