Unless its cheap to produce with a solid engineering solution to enhance durability and decrease service intervals I cant see it happening.

Ducati is said to have filed a patent for a tab system that will make it more durable

Honestly I think it’s all a day late and a dollar short though…electric bikes make it all mostly irrelevant very soon….so it’s alot of R&D spent on a sunsetting technology.

With the release of the new SP2 and V4R in the next 2-3 weeks, anyone have any new intel?

Well I have very good sources.
But aside from that if you know what is going on with supply chains in regard to '22 models, you would know that there will be no V4R for '22. Carbon, electronics, Ohlins are not in good shape right now.

Ducati also still has the 2022 V4R under their parts catalogue as well and don't see supply chain issues stopping a reveal but rather drawing out dealership arrivals, I guess we will find out more info on March 3 or 10

What's the homologation rules for BSB and WSBK as far as units per year requirement to be eligible. A 22 R is not out of possibility if it is basically the same as the 19-20 R and they just need to produce some as a 22 to stay eligible.
Then a late '22 reveal for an all new '23 R is still possible.

'23 V4R is the all new one with DSSA and seamless gearbox, will be announced end of summer

So with an all new 2023 V4R, this would be the 6th year of the current generation V4. I'm kinda surprised they would introduce it so late. I would've thought 6-7 years would be the end of this generation, with a new one right around the corner.

I like the R1 but all of the reviews mention a very cramped rider position. If you are taller you might not like it. The LCD seems very dated too, definitely on the small side.

i feel the cbr1000rr-r sp is even more cramped.

My old CBR600RR was very tight. My other gripe with the Japanese bikes is that they tend to sit on the platform for a while without any major updates. The R1 hopefully will see a major evolution soon.
