My guess is they’re going to show the new R model and pull a C8 z06, basically show there hand but take a while to make it. Parts shortages are being a real issue so i bet it’s very limited production

My old CBR600RR was very tight. My other gripe with the Japanese bikes is that they tend to sit on the platform for a while without any major updates. The R1 hopefully will see a major evolution soon.
That’s because the Japanese love making the same stuff for years on end with minor updates because it saves them money. And crucially it gives them the ability to get rid of any bugs

So with an all new 2023 V4R, this would be the 6th year of the current generation V4. I'm kinda surprised they would introduce it so late. I would've thought 6-7 years would be the end of this generation, with a new one right around the corner.

i don’t think we will see a true next gEN bike or engine, i have a feeling they may pull a Ferrari here and just refresh the bikes every few short years, add a few hp maybe direct injection. But over time let’s say 5-10 years it’s a different bike. Ferrari started doing this with the 458 they made the decision to update the platform every few years instead of doing a complete ground up new model. At first this really made people go that’s stupid, but what ended up happening was they where able to put that extra money towards much more advance R&D work. One of the best turbo engines you can buy “ as far as response and redline” push the traction and ecu tech to another level. So on and so forth

I find nothing wrong with that, I’m all for refinement.

Really not interested in some half-ass new thing with more wings and gizmos.

I had a 2008 GT-R (launch year). The current model, even though it basically looks the same is multiple times a better car. Rides better, drives smoother, improved fit & finish. Overall much more refined and makes the driving/ownership experience much better in my opinion.

Yep

i very rarely buy the 1st generation 1st year model of anything…because a year passes fast…and the trailing year there are ALWAYS significant model improvements.

Im in the same boat I’d rather them make it better year over year instead of wiping the slate clean every 5 or 6

The problem with the GTR really is the stupid msrp it’s gotten too now it’s gotten long in the tooth. That’s really more of a jAp thing than what ferrari is doing IMO

Ducati at the Verona Bike Show say the SP2 will be released as soon as the remaining SPs are sold.

Do we know with certainty that the SP2 will only come in black?
