Finished installing my modded exhaust, Akra Silencers with the VanDemon headers.

Can you PM me more info about this? Do the headers line up with the fairing? How did you mod the Akra tail to match the VD headers? I’m very interested in these headers as I have an FE with those same tail pipes.

Aloha fellow V2 owners. So I'm coming up on 5000 glorious, smile from ear to ear miles on my 21 and I was wondering what am I missing about these throttle spacers many of you use? The bike seems to operate perfectly without them. Just curious what "issue" perceived or actual these little things get after? At this point I even wonder if it would be weird to get used to something different anyway. Thanks in advance and ride safe!
Interesting. I’ll look into this. I do notice the slop and rarely notice it when riding.

Now that you have been made aware that it can be fixed, it will likely bother you. You should not have asked. Lol
Interesting. I just haven't noticed any play. I've had this one, a 18 SuperSport S and several Harleys. They all seem about the same. Thanks for the insight. The throttle has a few degrees of dead play. Honestly I never thought it was an issue but some people can’t stand it. On a cable throttle you adjust the length. These things have no adjustments, you put in these spacers and all degrees of play are gone.
I just installed them last week and I was amazed at the difference, although I have not gone out for a ride yet. Still doing other stuff.
No need to spend 50 bucks on spacers, just use some bits of neoprene tube if you go that way. Also, I've had spacers in and out, it doesn't make much difference to me either way.
What he said. I found them to make a big difference in throttle control when track-riding/racing.It’s definitely a personal preference to have them or not, but it’s the throttle so I would not make something up to fix it. Spend the $35 and do it right.
Suit yourself, doing it right is about function. Ive had neoprene spacers in for for the last year, so I know that it works otherwise I wouldnt recommend it. As for the actual need, people have different preferences and I suspect different wrist actions. I’m 6’4’with hands like dinner plates so I have no issues with twist! I put them in to try them out again and just left them in. I’m not racing but never noticed any throttle related pauses or jerkiness related to the freeplay, also pretty sure that race mode changes throttle action to full at 70% twist. It’s definitely a personal preference to have them or not, but it’s the throttle so I would not make something up to fix it. Spend the $35 and do it right.
Modded exhaust systems popping up left n right!
We want a sound clip and some flames!
