Who owns this 1199 Tri?

So pay with cash or check in person!?!? You'll obviously see a real bike, and have the title...? Nothing suspicious to me!

Nothing at all. Transaction is fine. Just realize that Paypal wasn't offered and no buyer protection was available for this transaction. So if you wired or paypaled separately - you were on your own. No one said you couldn't go and bring a cashiers check or anything else. Just that there were no protection mechanism in place that were available.

You are ......... The user had 5 previous transactions with 0% feedback in the last 12 months, the seller wasn't new. You aren't very good at reading, are you?

Hate to burst your bubble but you my friend are the ........ one here. The guy has been a member of eBay for 7+ years! The reason he has 0% is because none of the positive feedback has been left within the past 12 months!!!! Therefore what's system doesn't give you ANY percentage! Why don't YOU LEARN WHAT THE .... YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT BEFORE POSTING!

I'll update my earlier story. Guy signs up with Ducati.ms in 2005 and posts a couple times for help with his 999. Then 4 years later he comes back and posts something for sale... That make him a "suspicious" seller? No.
Now I know you won't admit you're wrong frosty but please grow up.

Thank you for repeating exactly what I said.

- I said 0% in the last 12 months.

- I said the seller wasn't new.

FFS, learn to read.

Not a scam at all (yay!). The guy was nice. I came with cash, we signed paperwork, done deal.

:D ear to ear

Damn, what a deal. Congrats!

Any backstory on the seller to put all the speculation to rest?

I'm glad that the guys shitting all over this thread got disappointed...congrats EvoL ;)

Indeed. The sweet battle between our resident kanuk and Jersey Shore's Situation (or is it Pauly D?) was totally rad, I truly enjoy those "deep" debates:rolleyes:.

I didn't say it was a scam. However that doesn't change the fact that Pauly D can't read, this bike wasn't covered by any protection. EvoL rolled the dice and came up lucky. Congrats!

EvoL, glad to hear that you got the bike. You paid less than 16,000 Euro for almost brand new Tri with all the extras. Grazy deal, any idea why the owner was selling?

I'd say time for some to eat some humble pie.

Well done on your purchase mate.

Congratulations! That's great. It's nice to hear about someone getting a good deal and not scammed for a change.

The seller was a rather well off individual who enjoyed modding. He and his wife decided he should get out of the motorcycle world. He literally never rode it as most of the miles were from the dealer riding it back and fourth between mods. He was a very nice guy and I'm glad I made the trip.

Dude that is so sweet!.... did you sell your other one?

It's going to be prepped for sale now :)

Thanks! See above.

Did you just ride straight home or did you bother to have the first service done somewhere along the way?

It had the first service done at 550 miles when the full exhaust was done. I just need to get the reminder cleared.

Wow let this be a lesson. Mods add zero value. That bike would have sold for the exact same stock.

That's what I would have bet on. I know a few older guys that get the most joy out of the "build". Tinkerers with more toys than they can play with. As soon as the build is done, there's no more joy left and they blow it out to get the next project in.

That is an insane deal, I'm jealous. Have fun with her. Hope to see you at Jennings this season. We'll see how my built out base compares on the track.
