I and many others have had none of these problems. The turn signal was a recognized issue that would have been hard to find in initial testing. So give us a break. Most people do come to forums to whine, whilst others come to enjoy their bikes. Become one of the second group, and stop whining.

BTW, people don't post "no oil leaks", "turn signal works" - so you can imagine 99% of the OPs, do not have these issues.

Ok trauma let make something clear you don't own Ducati so don't come here acting like the forum police dictating who is whine I can said whatever the .... I want about Ducati if I want to call my bike a pile of ....,guess what?is my pile of .... people get really offense in this forum when somebody is expressing their opinion. unless you are getting paid by Ducati what the .... you care if I believe that the panigale do have some major problems ( I can't wait for you bike to be out warranty and you need to buy a dash for $978.00 or a fork for $1800) the only reason I call you out is because you did it first.

No bike is perfect, and you bought a first year run where certain negative traits have showed themsleves. They have corrected quite a few of these.

Im not said that Ducati is not correcting the problems, every problem I have is being corrected. my problem is that Ducati rush the Panigale just to bump sales to get Audi and the way it look this bike is not a good bike out the warranty.can you believe ducati is in their 4 generation dash model and still it having problem. the people who got the 2012 are just Guinea pig for ducati we are the one doing the testing for them. and please dont tell me that what you get for buying the first year model.

Source for this allegation?
here we go :) most of the problems in the panigale are sooooooooooooooooo easy to spot like if they actually tested. and everybody knows that ducati dump every resource on the panigale with the hope that Audi bring the big ass pocket to the compay. Ducati is not the ducati that most of us fall in love with it. the new Ducati just got one goal beat bmw in the touring segment that is why they got so many touring model now that was said in the last dealer meeting. very soon you will see Ducati only dealer that is what audi want so said ADIOS to your local dealer they don't want them. also said adios to prestige of riding a Ducati because what Audi want is sales that why the make a hyperstrada with cable clutch lol. check it out most of the later model they are using low grade component. please don't start a debate with me i like Ducati Im just not going to tolerated AUDI .........

I would suggest based on sales numbers, Audi (aka VW), really aren't interested in Ducati for "numbers". Have a look at their entire global line-up and tell me that they need Ducati to sell in volumes.

What reason, do you think, it was that Ducati was bought?

But the Panigale came out before Audi got involved..so I am not sure I either understand your logic..or indeed your post??

I'm not a financial expert I'm just a consumer who loves Ducati. but I can say that comparing all my other ducatis with the panigale and the later ducati line up i feel that the attention to detail is not there (hey is just my opinion )

Audi has announced plans to purchase Ducati for something in the neighborhood of $1.12 billion this happen in 4-18-12 just when the panigale got out

Oh boy, here we go. I can say whatever I want as well, all you have to do is ignore my statements and keep whining, I am not the police (in your case you need a typo/grammar police). I love Ducati and the Panigale and am defending them just as I would Porsche or Grumman America. But it is beyond me why someone would complain to the level you and a few others have on a forum of Panigale lovers. We come here to understand issues we are having, yes. But mostly to rave about this awesome bike. Go ahead and whine, you're gonna need a lotta cheese. :D

I highly doubt VW spent $1.12 billion due to a forecast net profit on a single model for a single generation.....

VW don't care about sport bike like I said before, but if ducati wants 1.12 billion they need to look good in front of the buyer, VW group don't care about motorcycle they just want a boutique brand like ducati to compete aging BMW in the touring segment. we all know the BMW is the king in touring and touring is where the money is.

Why? VW is a corporation. Acquisition depends on a variety of data pending their significance towards their target goal. The decision needed to make business sense. "We want to compete against BMW" is not a business-savvy cause to work towards an acquisition. There had to be future short and long term opportunities that VW Group recognized regarding Ducati's brand, which I highly doubt were impacted by "rushing the 1199 to the market", especially pre-acquisition.

you are probable right but that what was said at the dealer meeting for the summer of 2012. ducati under audi will change from sport bike to touring bike to compete with bmw, just to prove that I was there ask you local dealer what the marketing rep said about what make a ducati a ducati? You are not going to believe what he said.

Hey I believe I took this post wayyyyyy outside the original contest sorry about that let go back to the original question or just forged it about.

They bought it for fun. Look, Facebook paid that much for Instagram, It's peanuts to VW. They also bought Lambo for a song, and turned it around, but not to make a dent in their line up or pocketbook. I read that back in the 80s Piech passed on a chance to buy it for practically nothing, and now is making good on that loss. There's no way they needed the technology, or care less about competing with BWM in such a minute niche. From Businessweek: “Strategically it’s insignificant for Volkswagen, its revenue is more than Lamborghini’s and Bugatti’s combined, but to the automotive operations, it’s a mere accessory"
