Why pay so much for checks during warranty

Yeah it's a thin hook thing. Super easy to do, takes 5 minutes.

Thanks for detailing one of the largest reasons Desert Desmo exists. You're the best!

One correction, though...parts for your oil change run about $100. I won't change it for $20 even if I like you. Maybe $150. ;)

Full synthetic oil plus OE filter and gaskets retail for nearly $100.

Its up to the Dealer. D Austin sold me a set of DP rearsets for 1k brand new. List is 1200. They are great with service times and bend over backwards to help me out. They aren't perfect but good as I can ask.

See, I've read elsewhere on here of people saying list is $1200 now... I'm a little put off by people stating that because ProItalia is still only charging $1,000 for them before any discounts, coupon codes, or earned points: Ducati 1199 Panigale Rearsets - Pro Italia Motorcycles

$1,000 isn't terrible. But even I got mine at my awful dealership for $850.
Either way $150 isn't a big deal, and the Dp rearsets are a hell of a lot better than OEM!

Then you paid $450 to have them installed? Going off your for sale thread I came out a winner then lol. I paid less than $130 to have them installed.

Retail is retail and Internet pricing is Internet. Expecting a retail store to beat Internet pricing is asking them to close. I'm more than happy to support my local store as long as they don't screw me.

Just to give yall a comparison from the Other brand, I've gone through 2 600 mile 1st services on an s1000rr. Had my service done @ Cross Country BMW in Metuchen, NJ. During the 1st go around I also had them install frame, fork and swingarm sliders. Total cost was around $250. Due to a screwup in my registration and licence plates, I did my 1st service myself on my HP4. Basically my bike's temp registration and plates had been lapsed for over a month and I wasn't leaving the oil in a mile longer.

That service cost $69 to read the fault codes (none) and remove the Rev limiter. They also sent me a refund of the TTL fees paid at signing.

No complaints with the dealer I use (NPR Ducati in Athens, GA). I think my first service was around $200 (don't remember exactly and I'm too lazy to go searching through my file drawer for the receipt).
Oil + filter + check over. Did my own oil change recently and it came close to $100 just in parts so $200 seems reasonable.
