Yet another V4S minor build

Great build! I have a 2020 V4S (had a 2019- long story) and a red C7 Z51 .... and I live in Michigan like you- which brings me to my question: where did you do your track day at? Certainly not at Grattan or Gingerman

my track day WAS at grattan on Sept 23, 2019 with Ducati Revs. My favorite track is mid-ohio though. Here's a vid from my C6 track day at Mid-O from a few years ago

Gear Lever Diagram.jpg

Hi cruzin2 I followed with interest you rear set install, its not something I intend to do at present but I hope you don't mind but I have a question about how did you adjust the gear lever height, I have tried to do it on my 2018 V4 but all ive done is start to round off the nut 10 in the diagram, I just cant work out how to adjust the height.
Do I need to remove the lower fairing, some say I have to remove the rear set and undo bolt 11 and then turn the part 12, is there away that I can just undo the locking nut 10 and then just turn the long spindle 9 to adjust it.
Any help is much appreciated as at present my lever is too high and I'm missing gears and I need to lower it down, regards Bootneck

Sure no problem. A couple of things going on here. The only adjustment you have with your stock rear sets is this link 9 that affects the angle of the lever and not position of the lever.

If this is what you are trying to adjust then I would definitely remove the lower fairing so you have clear line of sight to part 9. You have to get a wrench on the end of part 9 and the nut, part 10, to break it free. This is called a jam nut which is only there to keep this part 9 from rotating. There's locktite on everything so this is tricky. Also, I would recommend you get a set of skinny wrenches which can help with this. Here's a picture of what i'm talking about.

A few parts i put on today with the "social distancing" and warmer weather starting to hit michigan.

Flexible levers for those unfortunate but inevitable tip overs along with a brake lever guard for the track.

I track both- here in Michigan as well as Mid-Ohio . . . and of course I drive and ride the Tail of the Dragon (once each per year).
Awesome. hope to see you out there. I run with threeballsracing.com for my car and I run through the mid-o school or sportbiketracktime on the bike.

Thanks mate Yes all I want to do is lower the gear lever angle, sorry I didn't explain myself clearly in my last post, , I will try and get some skinny spanners if you think that will help. sorry for the following stupid question, but do I just put a spanner on part 9 to hold it tight and then put force on nut 10 to loosen it to allow me to adjust the lever angle, once nut 10 is broken free I take it all I need to do to lower the lever is screw in / out part 9 and then re tighten nut 10 to hold it in place, I only ask as I put a lot of force on nut 10 in the past and started to round off the nut and I thought I was going to bend something so I stopped, I just want to make sure before I attempt it again, thanks for all your help buddy
