Imean WTF with the color i was interested in this bike now this.

It is not bad but to involve all such elekments as tungsten and shiiit,then put a color like this,it should look like space shuttle not desmo

Highly dissapointed i stick to my 1199R which looks ten times better :)
 
To me what makes the SL special for me is the SBK pistons and other internals. Other than that...the bike is Vanilla to me...non flavor. Well, I mean not anymore than my beloved R.

I do have to thank Ducati though, They changed my mind set to make me think that my R was a bargain! Now I can show my wife the SL and tell her not to worry I'm only getting another R as an alternate :)

lol I was thinking the same thing. I always thought the desmo paint scheme was kind of lame. Now the 1198 corse was hot....I am sure they could have come up with something better?

And is it just me or is plain red better than the orange red?

Honestly the desmo paint scheme was Sickkkkkkkkk forrr the desmos! But for the Panigale ummm no! Orange red looks hottt I love it but I seen guys with custom paint track bikes look better.... I think my R PAINT SCHEME IS SICK ESPECIALLY THE TANK
 
I do wanna see the other side with the wheels but plzzzzzz remove the engine covers ewwww. If they were non removal I would of withdrawn my whole purchase of the R
 
I love the paint scheme. The R styling is very neat in its own right, but I've always been one to prefer classic styling cues over more flashy, elaborate designs. The bold, forward advancing lines here establish an all-business persona with an element of confidence that cryptically alludes to its only desire: acceleration. It just looks eager, if not hungry, to reel in asphalt and overtake anything that stands to keep it from doing so.

I agree its not to the level everyone expected.. the Desmo had a sticker kit to bling the bike a lot more.. maybe this bike would continue that trend and maybe that would kinda make it look better..

I have to admit that the R sure does look kickass though.. I was actually thinking of sticking the R's bodywork on the SL to avoid ruining the carbon fiber bodywork..

A buddy of mine who has a 1098R did that with his bike.. removed the stock fairings and put an 848 fairing and vinyled it
 
I actually think the base 1199 looks better... very blah imo....
