I agree its not to the level everyone expected.. the Desmo had a sticker kit to bling the bike a lot more.. maybe this bike would continue that trend and maybe that would kinda make it look better..

I have to admit that the R sure does look kickass though.. I was actually thinking of sticking the R's bodywork on the SL to avoid ruining the carbon fiber bodywork..

A buddy of mine who has a 1098R did that with his bike.. removed the stock fairings and put an 848 fairing and vinyled it

I would call stock rearsets disrespect but forget that stock windscreen is a smack to the face.... I still love the color and they should of gave options for bare carbon and aluminum topeople and paint scheme to oothers .....

I'd think that if they give private viewings they'l be open to customized colors. After all, it's not that big of a deal and it's possible with cars (I know BMW, I think Audi as well)

Best color to me would be the black like the first Streetfighter S.

What do you guys think?

Got my invitation. :)

Anyway, looks hot, but i'll stay for the R. Theres room to improve the R and me. :)

And i dont want to give up on one of my kidneys or a testicle (balls are needed to ride these beasts, so its better to keep both).

I think the bike looks way better then the carpet! :)

"Old pic", seen on the SL thread.

Agreed but the specs on this are still not clear and anything being said is still speculation although things like the carbon fiber, titanium and magnesium parts seem to be accurate.. finer things like the electronics package, exhaust system, accessories that come with the bike, warranty, service agreement etc are what I am keen to know about.

I showed interest to be signed up for the email and my dealer nominated me anyways so that way I can get an idea of what it truly will have before making a go/no go decision

From a technical standpoint I am intrigued what route they took to get 220Hp from the SuperQuadro....

My dealer also went to this meeting in Rome. He managed to gleen a tiny bit of information about the engine from one of the engineers. But only in as much as the rev limit is raised again, like the R over the S, because of the superlight internals, including some Tungsten components, which I would assume is where some of the extra power will come from along with uprated electronics etc.

He also speculated that service intervals and costs would rise........ maybe a bit obvious really though?

It looks pretty good but I think it was a mistake to use the GP color scheme for multiple reasons. It also makes it look like a Desmo wannabe IMO.

Then that would be the Ducati 1199 KindaLeggera. Don't really see the point in that.
