1299 Delivery Times

Seems like the Rs have been flying out at the start of production. I've had mine 2 weeks today and I believe Mutt1979's was at the dealer a couple days before that.

Strange then that we have seen no press release/review at all for the R so far??

Oh and congrats on a rather splendid purchase :)
 
Congrats to those who got the R... I hope I can buy one too some day.. u guys r making me real jealous :(

Anyone planning to add the DP Akra race cans on?

Sorry for no updates though, I have had a complete disaster. Work has called and I have to go back offshore today when I had the whole damn weekend planned to get run in and get on it, sorry again

Anyone with a new R notice a noisier (than last years R) engine? Whirring not exhaust?!? Lighter faster internals maybe?!?

And she's home. Damn those Akras are loud w/o noise killers in place. Had a busy schedule, quickly after work picking bike from a dealer with trailer. No pics, no videos. Maybe during the weekend.

But next to my bike there was R. I was allowed to start it. Blipped throttle few times, unbelievable how R picks up revs and drops into idle. S is not an old cow either, but in that sense R was definitely special.
 
First batch of Australian 1299 bikes arrived in Sydney on Sunday. They're still clearing customs and quarantine before distribution to the dealers, but we might start seeing them late this week or early next.
 
Apparently a few US Dealers already have 1299S and Panigale R's on their showroom floors but my dealer hasn't given me the slightest hint regarding arrival of my R.

Why the hell is Ducati ALWAYS the last bike to arrive..? Booh
