Hi all ,im new here and have just bought a 2015 1199r ,i have been reading here about various types of ecu tunes which i admit to knowing nothing about,i have had my bike for a few weeks now and love it but i believe it does have a hole in the power curve at about 3500rpm-4000rpm,what should i be doing here to sort this out?
do i need to take it to a dealer or do i buy some type of programmable ecu,if so which one should i go for?
thanks

The 15R engine isn't a street engine. It pretty much doesn't come alive till after 7000 rpm. Being your from Australia you might look into Tuneboy. You should have some tuning shops that support it.

yeah i think i will just ride over to Wayne's and get him to do a re-flash with Tuneboy and stick it on the dyno for a custom map,i will also get the cruise control option added, anything else you think i should be doing?

Make sure the QS up/down is to your liking

yeah not too impressed with the factory auto blip downshift ,it is rough and doesn't really work.

yep thats why i bought it ,cuz its a race bike ,but even race bikes accelerate clean off the low speed turns ,well sorted ones do anyway, this is a fuel/air issue and can be much better,im looking at the Tuneboy option now.
thanks

We have been tuning these bikes for quite some time, the flat spot can be drastically improved with tuning. I have an easy to use handheld which allows you to load our tune from your house.
