23 Panigale V4R

I’d be all for picking up a V4R but the increased maintenance schedule seems to offset the glamour. Basic ..... V4 seems the more ideal route for non-professional trackday/racing. I mean if you’re not MAKING money off the V4R, it seems not worth it

Hypothetical question... can the new, smaller clutch be retrofitted to the earlier V4s? I guess the outrageous cost from Ducati would be the only blocker?

Might be interesting for someone that wants to convert from a wet clutch? 🤔

Yes I believe it fits straight on, feedback from a race team here is that they prefer the older one because they have had some trouble with the smaller one slipping, can't confirm that because i haven't fitted one yet but nobody on here seems to have any problems with it from what I can see.

Thanks Bruce, and on an 1103 bike with slightly less outright power, it could be a good upgrade path (hypothetically)

My 1103 bike made 0.7bhp less than my V4R, at peak power 🤣

Same day, same dyno, same exhaust, same air filter, same wheel and tyre (swapped between them)

That special clutch might have got you the missing 0.7 hp 😂

I was thinking of the non-real world numbers that Ducati are quoting for the new V4R (with the £8k exhaust and triple priced oil of course) ;)

Be interesting to see how it compares to 300V.

Probably like VPower vs Tesco Momentum... no difference, except price. Shell (& Ducati) will convince with great marketing for their wonder product (that will be really hard to prove is superior) 😆

Would be interesting to compare however.
