As part of making my ‘23 V4R track ready, I’ve got to get rid of Etheline glycol coolant. Engine Ice is acceptable and that's what I run in my S1000RR. 5 degrees better than Water Wetter. I just want to know if anyone has had any issues. I have the service manual, but if there's anything else I need to know?

ive been running Water Wetter and distilled water for the past three yrs on mine...no issues at all...i'm in Texas too...hot as ....

JAG

Distilled water, water wetter and 25% O' Reilly silicate free coolant. It's in every bike I own, no issues.

I was more concerned about any issues in the changing process. Other than leaning it over and burping the excess air out. I always flush mine until it drains clear before using real coolant. On the duc theres no bleed valve on the water pump..

Sorry, I can comment on that process of changing mine over to engine ice. I just paid the shop to do it when I had the bike in to get flashed for the exhaust.

Well….I flushed mine 3x with distilled water until it was clear. Fill, roll from side to release trapped air, squeeze on the main water hose, run engine til hot. Once it starts putting fluid in the bottle, that indicates the system is closed and you want to make sure it stays that way as it cools off. Top off as necessary in the bottle. Run it up hot and let it cycle 3-4 times then check it, that should have cycled most of the air out. Pretty much matches the service manual. At least Ducati seems to have put the drain plug at gravity bottom so it drains fully..
