This is a question for anyone in the Dallas, TX area. I called the dealer I bought my 1199 from. I asked for a ballpark figure on the 600 mile service. I was qouted $450 dollars. I have seen posts where people have payed around $250 to $300 dollars. What gives?

$350 something in Ohio. Everything in Texas is $100 bigger. So seems fair to me.

I gladly paid them. A little recall warranty work, a reflash, oil chage, and tightening all the nuts and bolts. If $450 buys 3 hours of tech time and parts, it's a decent deal.

AMS charges around $280..... Who told you $450??

Speak to a different person a couple days later. You'll more than likely get a different quote. Ask me how I know.

$400 in houston, i will be getting mine when i get home, that is what they told me when i bought it.

Steve, it was AMS who told me $450. I called twice because I thought I just misunderstood what he said.

I ended up paying over $400 at Motoworks Chicago, I was expecting closer to $300, I don't remember what excuse they had.

I bought my bike there, so I let them have the first service, but for subsequent work I'll definitely be shopping around.
