Anyone tell what this random cutout is?

Sorry, it's on my YouTube vid. But, essentially bike cuts at full throttle. But, didn't do it the next time I rode it (admittedly only two laps).

I'm thinking, maybe related to gearing change with 2023 electronics?

The footage is straight after my intro:

how come on the the start we can see the dash, but for he issue we can't? I assuming front fairing placement?

Nothing so sinister Karl! Had both cameras on. Can show the dash cam, but nothing comes up on the dash 🤷‍♂️

It’s hard to hear it stumble but can see the result.

Could just revert back to standard gearing and see if it goes away.

Some other thoughts:
Maybe crank position sensor starting to go out. I’ve had one go bad but didn’t throw any warning lights. Only connecting it to the scanner did it come up w something but it was some super vague general code.

Maybe bad gas?

Looks potentially like a DQS issue. If you would have an AIM datalogger, you could see the status value. Are you running an aftermarket or OEM QS sensor?

It's OEM. I did have a problem with a Cordona issue before.
It has been suggested it may be a coil.

Have no fear btw, I have spoken to three Ducati dealers, booked it in with one, and spoken with a Ducati BSB mechanic...

It’s interesting that a qs malfunction can have such a profound effect on rideability - unsettling the whole bike. I would have thought it would just stop working, but when my Cordona qs was failing, power would cut randomly under hard accel, severely enough that my helmet hit the windscreen a few times - I was afraid it might cause a crash.

A false detection of an upshiftcut power for a brief moment and can throw you right in the wind shield. I have experienced this myself first hand. Cordonas are great sensors but the have a weak spot. The cable from the sensor to the small inline electronics box is quite sensitive to being pinched by too tight zip/cable ties causing intermittent or even permanent sensor malfunctioning. It is best to just leave them loose and carefully fix them only with the Ducati rubber straps.

p0919 is the gearing diagnostics. Normally a lot of the rider assist systems are limited or stop working. You would see this in the dash.

That's interesting. I haven't had any issues with any of the rider aids. Maybe it's a red herring, and the problem is a coil?

The bike did fully cutout, but tyre calibration may have solved this, and maybe the P0919 was related to that?
