Aprilia RSV4R Factory versus 1199

+2 - with that lineup imagine the service costs and hassles! I think I can only deal with one high maintenance bike at a time.

Just came back from test riding the RSV4. I liked it very much and want one, but...... The bike actually felt a bit boring and slow compared to the Pani!
Rode it for an hour, city and highway. My ass didn't hurt!!
Pani has to go as my arthritic, titanium reinforced body can't get comfy on it.
RSV4 is definately a contender for it's replacement.

This is the only bike I would ever trade my Pani for!

Interesting, after the first weekend on my RSV4 Pani replacement, I have come to the conclusion that on all out acceleration it feels every bit as fast as the Pani, just a lot smoother (and with less low end grunt of course). A 3/4 throttle jag using quick shift through 4th gear is the same eye blurring experience. Haven't really scrubbed the performance specs side by side to see what the tests say. I concur on the comfort factor, big improvement in hands and neck department.

I met a guy last weel at the track who used to work at the Vincent factory he is one of two guys left in the world who worked there .
It was great to talk to him about these bikes they are stunning .

Thats awesome...

I dont think youll have a regret buying the RSV4 Factory. Despite what some people say here, Af1 Racing provides HUGE amounts of support in the US for the bikes.

In Australia, we have many great dealers but none better than Moto Italia

The 12/13 models are great, they have ironed out all the bugs and the bikes are rock solid in terms of reliability if looked after with good regular oil.

I was looking at the 1199 originally, hence my user account here and with all the recent recalls and problems it just screams the same tune friends have had with past ducatis.

The RSV4 is a riders bike

How can you beat this sound? Seriously
