Got my baby ‘looking’ mostly stock again and street legal with the lights back on the bike etc…was an adventure getting this Anniversario fairings to fit with the Sparks WSBK exhaust and H2O radiator but I got it all the fit with only a tiny nip and tuck.

Was planning on selling this bike and buying a Street fighter for tooling around on public roads when I rarely get that itch, then an R for the track when the next iteration comes out…but this bike is so cool as is that I’m having trouble letting her go, and may just keep it as my ‘street’ bike.

keep it :) or if you really want to do a bit of street riding on something a bit more practical and very cool, get the Multi RS. Streetfighters are basically Panigales with apehangers but no banana seat so whats the point? :p

I had a Streetfighter before I got the V4S, and loved it for occasional street precisely because it was a Panigale with a bit more relaxed riding position.

Seriously, go to the dealership and try a Pikes Peak or even an RS if they have one, you will be impressed. They are really good street bikes, easy to ride, good vis, comfortable.

I had a SF and didn't felt like it departed enough from a Panigale to be a good street bike. This is why I think the sporty Multis are better than the SF at street riding and they have useable mirrors. If I were to buy another Ducati, it would probably be a Multistrada. If I were to buy another sport bike for track and occasional street use, it would probably be a BMW or Yamaha.

The SF is a good bike but as you say, its not quite a Panigale but not quite a grand tourer either. If I was to get one bike to do it all, it would be the V4 PP, its not a track bike and if you push you will find limits, they are still very very fast just not insane like a Panigale! Ive toured my Pani and I dont mind it, but the Multi is like an armchair in comparison.

I’ll take one for a test ride….that Mono looks cool as hell too

Finally starting to get a feel for the RC 8C…starting back at square and re-learning how to ride, got about 5 track days in on her so far, and am 6 seconds faster at Chuckwallah than I ever was on the V4. Feeling improvement in all areas of my riding. Love this bike, miss the power of the V4 but am having more fun and actually going faster on this bike.

Can’t wait for the new iteration of the V4R to come out, but that’s probably not until 2026. In the interim I think I’m about to pull the trigger on an HP4 Race…that’s the closest bike to this KTM RC 8C ergonomically and in wet weight. But with a lot more power.

On the power side of things I don’t miss the extra 100 hp because this bike is so torquey, and still very fun, but occasionally I miss that Ducati cheat code of running guys down on the straights haha

i got a suomy helmet after seeing your post about it. liking it better than the agv for street

Yeah I liked the Soumy just a little bit better than the AGV, not much but just enough that I’d grab it on the way to the track instead of the AGV. But I like the Shark better than both of those, it’s more stable at speed and for my particular head shape it fits perfectly.

The Shark is definitely NOT a street helmet, but at speed on track it hits its sweet spot.

waste of money

Not really. It’s still to this day probably the greatest and most well sorted production bike ever made. With the Kramer GP2-RR and the KTM RC 8C 2nd.

That’s no cut on Ducati, I love them, but you have to put $20k into them to get them up to speed with the track capabilities of those two bikes, and even then it’s not nearly as easy to ride fast for a non-professional rider as the HP4-Race and GP2-RR/RC 8C.

The Ducati is arguably a funner more visceral emotion producing machine, but if you want to get fast, not the best option.
