What's the issues with 10 that you are experiencing (besides the totally crap software, but that's shared across the board)?

I had the 10 and eventually returned it for a full refund. It had what seem to be common issues - software not connecting reliably to the suit and the hardware not charging.

Lots of people had similar issues with it.

I also didn't like using it. I much prefer the airbag fixed to the suit and an inner suit that's comfortable for me.

The replacement for the Race will be coming out soon and it is also using Bluetooth-connected software, so I really hope they have sorted this out... I have had zero issues using the Race.

Hm, my 10 is built in the (PSI) suit. The software is still crap, but at least it charges ok :)

Is there no-one in America that is the official supplier for this?

No not the Suit. Vircos is one of those word-of-mouth Suit makers that make a lot of team suits, but outside of the racing community not that many people knew about them. Basically if you are a sponsored team but are not sponsored by another suit company you get your suit from Vircos. AlpineStars is an Italian company but has a headquarters right here in the US. I’m gunna order a 2nd Vircos suit provisioned for the Tech-Air Race but not shipped with it. They gave me a deal on the 1st one since I was buying the suit.

Got it resolved:

Interesting. I guess they incorporated the full suit that it's attached to into your suit? Is it removable (lining and system)?

My suit's from PSi as well - I've been pretty happy with it.

The airbag is now detached from its own lining and integrated under the suit's own lining, basically looks factory. The only niggle is that the power cable attaches to the airbag via magnetic coupling, which easily detaches.

I guess you send the suit to PSi if you need it recharged.

I’ve seen quite a lot using 4SR as well.

I like the look of the Race replacement that's coming as you will be able to recharge it yourself. The new Dainese system also lets you do this.

PSi are only one hour from me, which is handy, although 4SR are only ten minutes from me now they've opened their new store, so I might give them a go for my next suit.

To keep my post somewhat relevant, I've not tried Vireos (although I have heard of them).

Couple of my group are wearing the 4SR stuff .. not so convinced one had MTM and it was miles off…

I went MTM RST measured at their uk hq
Love the fit .. didn’t realise how long I had been fighting a off the shelf Dainese one in pain..

So surely at the first fitting he would have said it’s no good and they would have adjusted it to make sure it fits correctly? That sort of thing can happen and would be sorted out.

Overall REALLY happy with this.

I can move in it WAYbetter than my cowhide Dianese and it’s not even broke in yet. Has much better hip protection built in than the Dianese so I understand why they pushed me away from the Tech-Air 10.

Has lots of little touches that my Dianese doesn’t have…like these built in grip pads in the inside of the knee and leg for gripping the tank, sat on the bike with them and they work so well that you don’t even need tank grips with them.

Overall the suit fits perfectly, except for two key areas, the distance from knee to ankle is off a bit, and from elbow to wrist. They barely connect with the Velcro on my D1 boots, and my gloves barely cover the sleeve bottoms. It’s functional but the next suit I order from them I will add 3 centimeters to those two measurements.

My PSI fits great. But makes me look fat :(

Looking good :)

Not sure if you did so, but when taking the next set of measurements, make sure that you are sitting on the bike with a suit and measure again

I guess if you were buying from a US supplier you'd want it to fit better on the leg and arm length but it's a bit of a pain to send it all the way back, unless that was down to the measurements taken.

When I had my suit done the fitting included taking measurements when sat on a bike (a lovely old 500 2-stroke Sheene replica) and the fit was perfect first time.

The off-the-shelf suits from PSi had the grip material on the thighs like yours had but for some reason they don't put it on the custom suits. It seems like a good idea though.

The suit looks good. 👍All you need to do now is crash in it so you can report on how well it stands up to some abuse. No rush...🤣

Guess where this WON’T be muahaha….Back in the shop lol

No modifications needed lol

Well, two actually, Zero Gravity is making a short run of taller windscreens for the bike, and the one bit of design flaw that I’ve found on the bike is that the right heel rests right on the exhaust holder bracket, so I’ll probably need to fab a bracket to drop that exhaust down an inch.
