Okay, other than a data logger and camera setup I’m gunna call this build complete.

Tank extender is still at paint getting color matched but that’s 2 screws.

A post note on those wings, people either love em or hate em, but since I’ve gotten this bike the front end has felt light and slightly unstable at high speeds, we sorted a lot of stuff and greatly diminished it but it never fully went away…those wings took that from being a weak spot on the bike to a huge positive, feels shockingly stable at very high speeds and hard accelerations, it’s more stable at speeds above 150 mph than any bike I’ve ever ridden now. It’s just dead solid, and confidence inspiring.

Out of curiosity, what does getting a tank cover finished cost? I'm contemplating options.

I was thinking about testing flat seat before flat seat plus tank extender.

I bought that same windscreen just from your post. Tall guy problems. Hopefully it will be here before the ground thaws.

Why did you pick 34?

7 is my number, I’m the oldest of 7 kids, the 1st and 7th were born on the same hour of the same day 7 minutes apart, 7’s just repeat a lot in my life.

I usually use the number 777, or just 7…but too many people have on their bikes.

For me the number 7 reminds me to look at some higher cause, either self improvement or helping others with their development when appropriate.

So I wanted a 7 on my bike to remind myself to use track time as a means of seif improvement and discovery.

But too many people have 7’s on their bikes…but…

3+4 equals 7….kind of an inside joke/message to myself.

I have a guy that does good work for a good price here in SoCal, about $300.

Prices on that kind of thing vary wildly, $150 to $700…obviously someone trying to charge you $700 is probably over value-ing their work product for painting just the tank extender lol

Significant also if you’re a Rosicrucian

I just drank 3 or 4 lattes I think. 7th son of a 7th son....

Very nice! The bike suits this livery much better than the silver you had on it before. My seat finally arrived by the way. As far as I can tell it’s identical to yours. Have you been out riding with it yet? Still a long time until I’ll be able to go out for a ride with mine.

Just the ride home from the shop, today I’ll take it out and put some lean angle into it. 1st impression, big improvement combined with moving my foot pegs to the most forward and down position my rear sets allow. Getting into a tuck is easier, rear end it’s higher so easier to get flat across the top of the bike.

I get my tank extender back on Friday, won’t really know how she feels until I have the tank extender and the seat on the bike at the same time.

@Steven31371 Were you out at Chuckwallah a couple of Sun/Mondays ago for the SoCal day/member day? Thought I saw that graphic on track. Was chasing down some minor issues so I wasn’t the most sociable. Back out for the January SoCal round, hitting the JP43 group training the Friday before as well. Hopefully you and some members might be around.

Gonna be a sore monkey on Sunday night!

No wasn’t me…I’m at AutoClub for their last event end of January, gunna map the rest of the season out this week, want to take the bike out on Big Willow everyday they have bikes booked but only looks like 2 or 3 bike track days on the big track that I’ve found.

Gunna do a few dates at Las Vegas, a few at Streets of Willow. But I suspect either Chuckwalla or Buttonwillow will be where I spend the majority of track days.

I need laps so I usually book two days in a row when available, yeah that makes for a sore 1st part of the week lol

I'll be there for Sunday So Cal trackdays. Look for V4R and no lattes either. Also with Apex Assasins Friday January!!
