That Puig fits so poorly that I think I’d being cursing and throwing tools across the garage all night trying to get those screws threaded with hemostats haha

once it’s on it’s a nice piece, less wind buffeting than the double bubble I had on there, despite being a bit shorter.

you’ve tried several, what’s your favorite windscreen and what did you like about it?

Sadly, nothing seems to compare to OEM. I’ve tried Puig, Zero Gravity, and Ducati Corse. I am currently using the Zero Gravity double bubble. I like the high screens for straight aways. I find that I can tuck in under it a lot easier than an OEM windscreen. For this reason, I highly recommend only clear windscreens.

I did have a question for you guys, I’m looking ahead the the clutch service, and thinking there’s got to be a better option than the factory dry clutch that’s on it, I want a much better slipper function.

Any suggestions?

Thats one of the best clutches in the market for Panigale bro lmfaoo… and did I just read this is your first bike and your doing this sick ass project lmao thats sick…. Hit up @cycler for the good deals.

no but I feel like it could be smoother, on up shifts it hits hard and on downshifts there is more noticeable pull than I’d like…though tbh a lot of that could be from me just needing to get better at blip shifting with the throttle.

Aight bro,, its a dry clutch. Thats how it feels, want smoother you can convert It into wet clutch.

what can I say, I got the mod bug a long time ago and it seems like an incurable condition lol

yeah Cycler has gotten me some hookups for sure….good guy

I was about to say it’s not THAT much of a project because other than the radiator we are putting on it’s all bolt on parts…but then I thought about it, everything on these bikes is a ‘bolt on’ other than the engine, including the frame lol

The H20 radiator is not installed, but the IMA triple tree and adjustable handlebars, skittle switches to accommodate the Corsa Corta brake master cylinder…put a racing seat on to try out, love, the seat profile makes it easier to slide side to side across the seat and the material is grippy when you need it to be but also let’s you slide easily from side to side.

Thriple Tree stiffened up the front end but also let me adjust trail to give up some turn in for greater front end stability, which I needed.

the bike isn’t as lively this way, but the front end is much more stable and I added about 10 mph to how fast I’m taking curves now.

the brakes are just as I’d hope they’d be, the Corse Corta bite into the Sicom Rotors better, the lever is much more solid, and the adjuster for lever travel means now I could get full breaking power with one fingertip and easier modulation.

Setup looks great Steven!

Get that thing to the track. I’d love to hear how those brakes perform once you get them heated up on the track. The carbon should bite better once it’s nice and warm.

Are those Pazzo shorty levers?

I don’t agree that they look absurd, in person, with the black number and black windshield they just sorta blend in on the bike, you don’t actually notice them much, hahah, I was kinda hoping you guys wouldn’t even see them lol, hence why I didn’t mention them above hahaha

I got them because the front end was moving a lot on hard accelerations from 80 to 150 mph after I lost all gyroscopic stabilizing forces from going to the ThysenKrupp CF wheels and Sicom Rotors. I took an ‘all of the above’ approach to sorting out that front end squirminess….

I also just prefer shorty levers, as I one finger squeeze them anyway, the extra 2 inches of lever are just extra weight and just seem easier to get hung up on something ….they are not Pazzo levers, they are mismatched because the Master Cylinders are mismatched. I kept the stock clutch master cylinder because I don’t need a firmer clutch lever while sitting at traffic lights, abs I use the blip shifter when moving….but I absolutely needed the Corsa Corta brake MC’s.

this necessitated keeping the Evotech shorty lever on the clutch master (which I like because that toggle switch allows for easy adjustment to my finger length) and I have the TWM shorty lever on the right side.

as an aside on the winglets…having built several race cars that have broken class records at speeds above 200 mph I have more than a passing knowledge of aerodynamics, Bernoulli’s Principle, ground affects, etc etc etc…I had to learn it so I wouldn’t die and could keep the cars stable at speeds over 150 - 200 mph.

I looked closely at the wing shape, abs rake angle, and position on the fairing, and am comfortable that at speed they will provide at least some downforce and stabilizing affect, otherwise there is no way in hell I’d add that extra two pounds of weight to my bike; most of you know by now that I’m a bit obsessed with lightness.

So that’s all I have to say on that subject

Whatever floats your boat dude but… have you considered a rudder?

On a more serious note though… have you considered geometry changes or an extended swing arm?

No but I was thinking that if I put wings on my helmet and my boots that might be cool….then I could be both a Norse and a Greek riding god lol

I did the IMA Triple tree because it has eccentrics that allow us to change the trail without out changing rake, so far that seems to have helped a lot on the geometry front…I am also looking at the Pierobon and a some other swing arms that are a bit longer.

I don’t wanna add weight so I’m looking for something lighter and longer that I don’t have to change wheels with.

I like the Suter stuff but looking to see if I can still use my wheels

Any suggestions on that stuff would be appreciated guys…educate me lol

Does that seat have any cushioning at all? I'd like to try something flatter than the stock seat.

Get it, that seat, strangely, is starting to become my favorite mod, and the one that’s helping me to improve my riding the most.

Maybe it’s because I’m a big guy, and older, but this seat making it easier for me to slide my ass side to side out over the bike and still feel solid on the bike is making me much faster through curves.

‘Enough’ padding is subjective, but I went from the thickest most cushy seat Ducati has, their comfort seat, to this, and it’s plenty comfortable on the padding front for me., it’s by no means ‘boardlike’
