BrenTuning Flash Development (Tech Talk)

Help Support Ducati Forum:

Since someone on here was asking for a link. There’s several but I’ll let this be the last one.

I remember him, he went to completely different dyno's and didn't follow adaptation reset protocol that are in the instructions that were sent to him. Don't just post up part of the story, make sure you got the whole story. :)

His AFR was 1600... You think that's an accurate dyno? If you do indeed own a shop, you may want to be careful how you make yourself look with just bits of info and zero research. It may hurt your business.

And yet Brentuning decided to post those numbers on their FB page claiming “huge gains!”. Interesting...

ETA:

Hey Troy, should I upload your replies to that post defending those numbers? I’ve got those too.

I'm not posting anything on the forum. I will show it to you and you can post what you like. PM me for info and location to our shop and we'll set it up.

When you know how to dyno a bike.. but if you're trying to post screenshots where the guy did a 4th vs 5th gear pull for flashed vs stock and has the afr at 1600, you might want to check your info source.

You own a shop and don't want to post what shop that is? Interesting. I'll PM you.

It’s not a motorcycle shop so the name is arbitrary to posting it on this forum . It’s a place of business that is multi use so no, it’s not that interesting.

Our building is not a Government Grant Building. Our building is a private business in an industrial park. www.dtllc.global. I live in Newport Beach which is boarders Irvine. People on this board have seen the files, now it's your turn. Are you going to show up Bren Tuning or not?

My turn? I wasn’t the one that said they would post comparisons between stock and the Bren file. That’s what you said on your own. You going to stay true to your word? That’s weeks before I said I would be happy to come out. So first things first. Time to see if you’re just talk. Post up.

That was John Lee, not Bren. How is that Bren’s post? Again, you didn’t explain how 1600 AFR and a 4th vs 5th gear dyno with no adaptation reset is an accurate reading? Please explain. Thanks

You're giving me a lot of credit here lol. How do I go into FB or this page and delete peoples responses?? You don’t know me at all. What does a S1000RR post have to do with me? It may be tough but try to stay on topic. This is a Panigale forum, now a BMW forum.

I’m referring to the original post where Bren is claiming a 40hp gain courtesy of his tune. You keep conveniently leaving that part out. The post says BrenTuning Moto. Is that not Bren’s shop? The address in the FB profile indicates that it is. Why are you asking me to explain the inaccuracies of the post? I’m the one pointing out that the numbers are bs. If you and Bren knew that then why did it get posted as advertisement on his page with you by his side defending the numbers?

This is a Panigale forum. I was warning others because I went down this road with Bren and a S1KRR. You have multiple members here not happy with the tune/product. I’d look into that.

I'm ready to deliver my friend. You have our address and I'm ready to show you whatever you want to see and you can post it to the board right from here. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Give us a day and time that we can expect to have Bren in the house.I'll even cater lunch.

I don't know what you're asking me to speak for a bike that was handled 3000 miles away from me and if you're saying it's impossible to make 40whp, you'd be wrong. I've seen bikes with plug or air box issues make more than that over baseline.

I'm asking you to explain because you're posting a bogus dyno for the V4 like it's a fact. You're just making yourself look ignorant doing that. Anyone that is even slightly mechanically inclined will look at that V4 post that you credit and laugh. You should too to be honest.

Please post the members names on here that hate the Bren flash for the V4. Thanks

So basically what you're saying is you won't keep your word to everyone on the forum about posting comparisons, right? But you want me to drive to you.. in a government grant building that you said was in Newport Beach but is actually in Irvine. You're sounding more and more shady as the conversation progresses. If you post what you already said you would post weeks ago, I will be happy to go and see you. Ball is in your court. Stay true to your word. Otherwise as far as I'm concerned you'll try to rob me when I go out to your government building or just not exist.. seeing as your shop doesn't have a name or anything.

Troy, come on. First you were defending the numbers in the post and now it's "well it was done 3000 miles away from me". In the FB post you were stating what fuel was used, how many miles were on the bike, the conditions of the dyno etc. Again, I'd be happy to post those screen shots if you'd like. 177rwhp sounds about right for a gen 1 S1000RR. I'd say it was a fairly healthy bike with those numbers wouldn't you? But you're really going to tell me that it made 40hp more thanks to Bren's magic tune and no internal mods? There's where you lose your credibility.

Someone who thinks a tune can add 40hp, calling me ignorant. That's rich.

If you'll scroll up to the top of the page you'll see a member who gained a whopping 5hp with your tune with a full exhaust.

The fact that you're calling Ed and his shop out makes this even more comical.

If you mean post a private conversation between me and another member? I’ll have to decline. That may be something you would do but there’s a reason it was a private message and not a post. I’ll gladly respect their anonymity.

If you mean the conversation between the two of us, go right ahead. Nothing to hide here. :)
