I don't recall disagreeing, but since you're clearly elated, sure 😁

If you drill out 2 pound coins you can get away with less of them 🙃

Doesn’t need to be CAD fancy and whatever you do, use a decent bearing. The Gucci Motocorse unit and a few others use cheap Chinese bearings that score the inner race quite easily. I just bought the correct SFK rod ends from their Aero group and made my own. SFK rod ends, Ti nuts 7068 body. Bulletproof and you can make it to fit if you have a non standard installation which I did. This took about 35min to make.

yeah your picture of a tie rod is a bit naff and tacky. There is always a much better classy way of doing it that easier to use more accurate and specific for the job.
I did it your picture way in 2020! modified it again in 2021, and now am seeking a much better (refined) way of achieving a simple to adjust, accurate to adjust, easiest way to adjust.

Pinch bolts are far easier and superior to lock nuts and it doesn't need spherical bearings on the end plus they are the wrong thing for this application.

Maybe, if the pitch of the thread is not from a bolt you found on a building site, there is no 'slop'? Ducati seem to think so in this application 🤷
I don't know myself, but thought it might make your life easier, when adjusting your ride height.

why dont all you experts step away from the key board and actually look at the application first with your expert opinions, to see exactly why for example it doesn't need a spherical bearing?

Rick ive seen your you tube video... that clearly demonstrates the level of your knowledge and application... want me to share your Mickey Mouse chopping of spanners??

the picture above ideally fits an application where there is support both sides of the bearing. that is not the case with the V4.

Endo, yes as ive explained, you can do it exactly your way and I have done, but its a bit rough and if you step back for a moment you can see exactly what I am saying! In your pictures there are clearly rotation but also a change of angle.....which is why that bearing is required.

you do it your way ill do it mine! yes there is function but its nice to have a proper bit of form too.

thats just the point! Clearly you have to take the locating bolt out of the long end and screw the long end in and out to adjust length. The lower end thread is screwed in tight and fixed! Thats why there is a disproportion of threads. Of course the end that does screw would you believe it has a locking screw!

you not looking at the information correctly .... again?

Oooh, please don't share images of my spanners! 🤣

It's not like they're on YouTube, for, um, the world to see.

You're hilarious Andy, keep up the good work 😃 Nothing if not entertaining. I very much enjoy your comments 😊
