Diagnostic software

Its pretty self explanatory of what it can do just download the program and have a look, if you want to use the features you have to register says it on jpdiag website.

If you want more advanced features then you need rexxer or tuneboy which is mentioned on the first page of this thread.

Well, I have contacted JPDiag and not heard anything back. Joined the forum and was welcomed with a PM that said "here we will discuss the siemens and Fuji ecu only". So I am scratching my head at not getting any answers. I cant say I am impressed so far...

What are you trying to do? I just received the required cables this past weekend, and JP turned around the licenses within a day. Pretty easy process once I figured out my bluetooth issues on my laptop.

Just to be clear, its Melcodiag that is used for the panigale, JPDiag, is for older versions of ducati's. He has many different software available for different functions on his website. jpdiag

I wasted a lot of time thinking it was the JPdiag software to be used on the panigale since people kept calling it by the wrong name.

I suppose it would be easier if the people would respond to emails. It's not just JP, but techno research as well. What I am after is diagnostics software for both the ECU and the TC systems. Ideally I'd like to be able to access certain parameters like quick shift times and auto blip, throttle by wire.

Well you won't get that with JP/Melcodiag, its more of a diagnostic tool, not a tuning tool.

One of the things I had read, but seems may have gone away, was a writer program available at additional cost which would allow you to load maps, but it was never clear if that was only for fuel and ignition.

Pretty sure ecu mapping and programming isn't available for the panigale yet. Looking at the ECU and Mapping section on the JPDiag forums, it relates to older models, 749, 848, 1098, streetfighters.... etc

I'm sure your question will be answered sooner if you ask in the Mapping & ECU section on the JPDiag forums.

Melcodiag Panigale R (2015 1199R 2nd Gen)

Thanks Poe sent pm's back.

Also a update on JP Diag went through lots of snags and loopholes making the melco-diag work out in the 1199. Once you get the right ELM scanner and DDA cable getting this all to work is a breeze.

Hi Mick!
Any idea if the Melcodiag software works on a Panigale R? (2015 2nd Gen 1199R). I'm no expert, but I think my bike has a Bosch ECU and most of the stuff that I'm seeing online refer to Melcodiag being compatible with Mitsubishi ECU's and perhaps some others, but not seeing much in terms of Bosch compatibility.

If so, let me know if you can advise on the correct cable and ELM required to hook up my laptop to my Pani R.

Thanks either way!

Hey man good to hear from ya so your 1199R has same ECU as mine (16R) Mitsubishi and yes the Melcodiag works fine been using mine with no issues.

You will need a ELM with 1.4 or 1.5 version and make sure it has the FT232 chip or it wont work. You will also need the correct OBD cable so here is both items I ordered so it will make things easier for you to get going.

Yep, it works like a charm

So far I have been able to erase the 7,500 and 15,000 mile service light as well as DTC's and also reset the throttle and the other one I don't recall the name at the moment

Has anyone successfully used this software on the new Panigale V4? I need to reset the service light and the dealer is booked for weeks.

I bought the cables a year or so ago then wrecked my V2 and never got a chance to use them!!

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone gotten a wifi OBDII reader to work? Do I need to buy the cable and use MelcoDiag?

(Hypermotard 2015)

So I might have gotten somewhere today. I'm using the BAFX wifi module
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078K54MT5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I then used a wifi to serial conversion app. I used this one which has a free trial, enough for me to get the data I needed.

After that, I connected it as if it was a com port and was able to pull these codes. I'm not sure if they are right, though. Maybe someone can tell me if these are legit check engine light codes.

MelcoDiag my Ducati 899 service light (Korea)

Hi,

Until now i still can't active the "Rest retrieval" button under the Rest tab of the MelcoDiag application.

I had a ELM 327 V1.4 Cable with FT232FT but it doesn't have PIC18F25K80 Chip. Does it make different? do i have to order another cable? However, i do able to talk to my bike computer and collect the debug logs and VIN ID as below.

Beside the cable, i don't have any idea why the "rest" button is not active. :(Please kindly share your comment and help me from your experience.

Below is the Debug logs.
