I think this 916 gives us a closer look to what the next gen V4 will unveil. The dry clutch is back, like it or not. Euro 5 is already in place. This will mean a bump in HP from larger displacement. Going 1149 or 119X? Base HP? 23X.

Ducati JINXed it with number 1 on a V4...Rea will win the championship this year.

and no foreseeable future championships in motoGP. Maybe after marquez wins 10 for hrc ducati can get him to win on the ducati.

funny jlo leaves yamaha the yamaha goes in the tank Jlo leaves ducati and they go in the tank. not saying its jlo but it is a coincidence.

oh back to the bike. saw the livery at the wsbk race. no thanks.

2 best schemes 1299 anniversary and the v4 corse.

so when JLo leaves, Marquez will suck in Honda.

My wife would like to thank Alvaro Bautista for dampening my desire to get a V4R... would have been cool to have the bike that brought Ducati back to a world championship. Maybe they'll have that selling point next year ... or maybe Rea will start falling off his bike this year

Im standing right next to it on pit road at Laguna. Nice looking bike. Would have preferred it on an R platform instead of the S

For the demanding collector - not sure if I like the 'demanding' bit?

certainly more than any of the big 4 - but bringing one of them to the same spec wouldn't be too far off from 42.5.....in reality Ducati gives us a "bargain" (well...i might be stretching it a bit) but all things considered, the pricing is not bad at all.....(you can keep the r1...its too reliable, well sealed, maint. free, and its not even red)

By the time you add taxes, fees, labor and whatever else they add on for good measure here in CA its going to be a lot closer to $50k.

I talked to a dealer about a new 950 hypermotard on Saturday - $16,650 but by the time you add all the fees its comes out at just under $20k.

They also told me they won't even supply race / aftermarket exhausts or even upload a new exhaust maps anymore as its a $50k fine if they are caught having done so

I not one to think Ducati's are bad value but Damn i'm really a little sticker shocked by the price of this bike.

I take a v4 streetfighter with the pp livery please

The V4S Speciale was $40k so Im not that surprised, I've no doubt they will sell them all and when you consider that its arguably more special than the Speciale with the parts they've included the price doesn't so bad.

I heard they already sold out

..i'd agree on that....and hope so too !! :D

Well if Bautista keeps trashing the bike, Rea will win it. There are some that already fear it's too late for Bautista to do a comeback, considering Rea's consistency.

Yeah but that exhaust is street legal as far as I know. The dry clutch may get a pass since that exhaust is street legal and thus the sound is pretty much closer to the stock V4S exhaust than the Akraopovic Race found on V4 Speciale.

The championship is still open IMHO. Ducati also passed the most difficult tracks for them but we will see what happens after the summer break.

I beg to differ but can you tell me what parts are included extra than on the Speciale? Aside from the dry clutch and the Mag rims?

I paid 38.5k € for my Speciale with mag rims and I got Akrapovic race exhaust, race upmap & 226bhp besides of all the Rizoma goodies that are more or less present on the 916 Aniv too
