Ducati Panigale V4 916 25 Anniversario Build Thread

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I've got to say, I am very disappointed in a number of individuals for what has been posted here and how the thread devolved.
I followed the thread, did not personally align with the logic of upgrading a superbike that was never going to be ridden nor all of the choices made, but that's neither here nor there and my voicing such opinions is not relevant to the thread.
I did benefit by purchasing many of the parts discarded with only 4 miles on them and am grateful that someone had them to offer at a fair price. I was able to replace worn disks and upgrade my calipers on my 2012 trackbike. and this winter my road bike will also benefit when I transfer my old M50s over to the Speed Triple once I've serviced them. Luckily, I have Alpina's email address and I will continue to engage him when I need to replace stuff.

I picked up my 2020 Panigale V4 916 25 Anniversario yesterday.

I plan to do some "tasteful" enhancement for this bike and will document my journey in this thread.

I am hoping I can complete the whole modification by next year, but I need to start slowly to let my wallet recover :)

Let's see who takes down who :p

The best way is to ignore content from a member BMW Alpina is on my list and others, it just makes your viewing pleasure so much more enjoyable.

Wow...so many guys post a bunch of nothing and break the balls of one of the best contributors to the page? I’m not being facetious. I just find the jealousy a bit too much to take.

... Each to their own, he did what he wanted with his bike, both in terms of use and modification.

It's disappointing that a forum such as this, (which presumably is for sharing ideas and problems about our bikes) descended to the lowest common denominator.

I'm sure some people would've benefitted from the OPs choices, and it wouldn't have been for others.

But, like five year old boys playing with their toy cars in the dirt, it ended up in disruption to nobodies benefit...

You Can’t Elevate Yourself By Putting Others Down

some people don't get that.

This is an encyclopedia of parts available for the V4 - well done. I will use this post as a reference in the future.

For ..... sake @endodoc give it a rest. You've more than said enough. So many people have enjoyed this thread and yet you and a couple of other fuckwits just want to troll....

glad to see some folks get it.

Blimey! Not been on the forum recently owing to redundancy and family bereavment, then all this kicks off in my absence. Not sure I missed much but the "handbags at dawn" developments were hiliarious

The man insulted my wife and believe me is lucky to be alive. It was all good until he started getting personal with people. I came here to talk about bikes.

Look at Blade Runners post on his Mupo suspension and his SBK brake setup. Awesome stuff but a snooze fest for all but a few but you’ll get 20 pages of posts on mirrors, wings and how much better the bike turns in after replacing the rotor bolts with Ti.
Damn man I was 76 pages in with my coffee enjoying all this fun and you go and ruin it by making me laugh and spit out my coffee with one sentence. If you think my suspension is mega you gotta check out my 90 degree valve stems. Those are sure to get at least 30 pages of great reads.

Hello everyone,
I believe my last post describes the problems that I see with this website, which limit the true potential of this website to grow.
However, it is not my character to say GOODBYE but leaving a problem behind without finding a solution.

So, in that spirit, I am planning to build a new forum for people interested in modifying their Ducati, and I purchased the domain name yesterday.

I will use my business experience to manage this new forum, do my best to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable in posting their modification
(regardless whether they are building a race bike/WSBK replica or a simpler level of modifications)
I hope to have the forum up and running in about a month (or two months) from today.
I won't be writing the name of the forum here, because it will be unethical,
plus I want to challenge my son to improve his Search Engine Optimization skill, so my forum will be found when people google them.

Oh, yes, My oldest son will be the one running the technical side of configuring the forum software, cloud Webhosting, and Search Engine Optimization.
Hopefully, he can use this experience as a contributing factor for acceptance when he transfers to the University of his dream.
And this is the main reason because I don't expect any monetary profit from this new forum.
I am also very happy today because my oldest son started going to community college today. :D

@Phl , I never mentioned your name on my last post because I understand your situation, and your hand is tied.
I never blame you for the current situation and Thank You for your kind response in the PM.

I also want to address some of the response:
a. Everyone who joins an internet forum usually either:
  1. Looking for information/ideas/inspiration/help (or CAD file) and learning new knowledge
or
2. Showing off their accomplishments or capability (whether just for hobby or to make money)
If a member can do the two above, while feeling welcome and comfortable, then the forum will grow in membership,
along with more knowledge, diversity, quality, and quantity of content, leading to highly monetize traffic.
Like business, if you don't keep growing or innovate or adapt to the changing taste or market, you will be extinct.
Has this Ducatiforum met the criterias above?

b. To continue on the "showing off" part of the forum, well, that is just human nature.
Yes, I created my BUILD Thread to satisfy my EGO first, by showing off my capability.
I am NOT a hypocrite and admit that I am here to "show off." But I did it in the right forum/topic about Ducati.
Once in a while, I might tell stories that explain my background so people can see me as a person and understand why I do what I did,
and it's my right as the creator of the thread. If a book writer can write his background on the front page of a book, so can I.
I also think that is another factor why my thread can garner the number of views. It's the human touch.

c. I never understand why too many people were so "concern" that I will never ride my bike even after I explain my reasoning over and over again...
It's not like I never ride a fast Ducati (or fast bike) in the past,... I did it, and I am glad I am still alive.
Now, I just want to enjoy my hobby, walking back the memory lane while bringing interest, knowledge, and passion to my two sons,
who are both going to engineering school. I also want my two sons to see that if they are successful, they can buy the "finer things" in life.
My ultimate success as a human will be judge by the whole world on how successful my two sons will become, and that worth the price of buying my bike and do all the modifications on it without the need to ride it. :)

Back to the new upcoming forum, where I will also be a contributing member, here are some sneak previews (and there will be so much more).
Also, notice that even though you can buy these parts online, however, many of my off the shelf parts were customized further.
Braketech won't sell you a gold anodize center rear brake carrier. You see, people want to perform modifications that they can do themselves (preferably in their garage or living room).
I made and show how easy it is, while endodontic will try to point out how "HARD" his modification is... which might be interesting for a niche market but a turn off for mere mortals.
I am flowing with the market. endodontic thought that the market has to follow him... :p

Guess, what the right barb will be for? hint: it's for something very special from Brembo :D

Last, I want to "SHOWING OFF" just one more picture, for one last time.
This picture taken earlier today, where my younger son stops playing his PS4 games when he saw me returned with the BrakeTech disc carrier from the anodizing shop.
(this is also my Younger Son who creates that "UNOBTAINABLE" CAD File).

My young son wants to prove his mechanical skill by putting those locking spiral washer to lock the BrakeTech disc carrier to the rotor.
I know it is not that hard to do that, but take a look at that picture...

This picture alone worth more than $60K that I already spent so far on my bike. Actually, it's priceless.
You might understand more if you are a Father.

Anyway, it's time to really say GOODBYE DucatiForum,
I am grateful to learn all this new experience.
Enjoy these times with your "rug rat" :)
